Did I read correctly that Brighton beat the Tots for the first time in any competition since 1983?
now was that so hard??
I'm shocked.
MLS Regular Season is done. LAFC wins the Supporters Shield, NYCFC wins the East., both get first round byes.
East
Atlanta v New England
Philadelphia v NY Red Bulls
Toronto v DC
West
Seattle v Dallas
Salt Lake v Portland
Minnesota v Galaxy
With Minnesota qualifying for the playoffs for the first time the only two teams to never make the playoffs are Cincinnati and Orlando.
Yes, Toronto can only qualify if they win the Canadian Championship so Seattle would get the spot if Toronto won.LAFC, NYCFC, and Atlanta have locked up Champions League spots. If one of those 3 wins, the 4th spot goes to Seattle. I'm not sure what happens if Toronto wins it all? I know they don't get a Champions League spot unless they win the Canadian Championship, which they lost to Montreal...

Just to clarify, which tournament is that a qualifier for?
The FIFA Club or this one:

So the US gets four spots to the CCL:It would be Seattle or the team Toronto beats in the final if its not LAFC?
So the US gets four spots to the CCL:
Supporters Shield Winner: LAFC
US Open Cup Winner: Atlanta
Top team in conference that didn’t win the SS (this year the East): NYCFC
MLS Cup Winner: TBD
If one team qualifies in more than one spot then it goes to the highest ranked team in the Supporters Shield standings, in this case Seattle because they finished 4th.
The Canadian teams, Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto, can only qualify via Canadian spots (the Canadian Championship) so if a Canadian team wins MLS Cup their spot passes in the same way as if who already qualified did.
ok, thanks...I'm even more sad that MNUFC didn't find a way to win yesterday because a win would have put them in a good spot for CCL and now they're stuck in that stupid 2020 Leagues Cup...
If MNUFC can get through the Galaxy and LAFC and whoever gets out of Seattle's half of the bracket then they should be a decent favorite. So they just have to win the MLS Cup.

Needless to say, tough bracket.
Speaking of the Fire:Schweinsteiger finally retires.
I prefer to remember him playing for Germany instead of the shell of himself playing for the Chicago Fire.
