@EPLBible: Manchester United's statement: "Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery today for a brain haemorrhage. The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimise his recovery. His family request privacy in this matter."

Seattle plays 75 minutes a man up, at home and finishes 0-0 with one shot on target.

It’s gonna be a long season.

Re: World Soccer XXVIII: Campeones de NorteAmérica.

I’ve been laughing every time NBC hypes up “Championship Sunday” on the NHL broadcasts. There’s only two races left that have any meaning, Chelsea and Tottenham for the last UCL spot and Huddersfield and Swansea for relegation, both of which could be done by tomorrow. It’s fair to say the EPL has spoiled the fans and TV execs the past few seasons and now I guess they expect it every year? Nope, this is how it usually works: you have a Champion by April, UCL spots locked up a week or two after, and the relegation figured out by May. The final day is usually 10 games that pretty much suck, especially in a World Cup year.

2 games that matter on the last day is 1 more than the NFL has on its last day :)

Huddersfield draws at Chelsea and will not be relegated.

So all Liverpool need is a draw for a top four finish...as long as Chelsea doesn't win by 16.

Record: Stockport County 13–0 Halifax Town (Third Division North, 6 January 1934)

The US Open Cup is underway. One of my favorite tournaments in sports.

I wish Vermont had a representative...the only team from Northern New England as far as I know is Seacoast United Phantoms in Portsmouth NH

Americans suck, but there are at least a few things we don't suck the most in.

You think the American cheat sheet is better (pun intended)?

American guide to picking up women:

1. Log into Silk Road...

Russian girls do not like to feel like objects. Many men, because the Russian women are beautiful, only want to take them to bed. Maybe they want it too, but they are people who want to feel important and unique. The advice is to treat the women who is in front of you with their own ideas and wishes. Pay attention to their values and personality.

You know... Males who have to be told this aren't men.

You know... Males who have to be told this aren't men.

80% of the world sees women as sexual property to be worked or precious moments figurines to be protected.

The concept that women are just, you know, other people, both as valuable and as full of sh-t as men, is still shockingly new and vanishingly rare. Most Americans have not caught on yet, to say nothing of fun places like Africa and the Middle East.
