Given that he reportedly decided to run before Sunil had stepped down (which may have prompted Sunil to recruit Carter to run), he's about as un-establishment as an establishment candidate gets.

People are saying "he was Sunil's VP!" not realizing that the VP is a board position that is separately elected (in fact they have to have an election next year to replace him). As angry as people on the outside are, those who are actually running things seemed to have some common sense.

But we have less construction graft and skimming to offer.

Frankly, it's like the Olympics. You only give it to us when the rest of the world starts getting fatigue from the expense and close to realizing the waste. We provide them with the selling point that it can make money that they use to scam everyone else into believing and bidding.

I doubt it comes back to the United States anytime soon. The current occupant of the White House doesn't want a bunch of people from ****hole countries coming here. But hey, we'll host the Scandinavian Cup.

Does it freak anybody else out that Casablanca has 3.5 million people? I think of it as about the size of Schenectady.

During a YouTube rabbit hole adventure today I watched a career highlight reel of Messi and was struck by a few things. He's not that fast. Not that big. So many of his goals appear to be "ducks" or not particularly well struck (not always of course), many hit off his shin not his foot and he very rarely scores using his head. But my God if the man doesn't have glue up and down his legs he's just freaking magical with the ball. His ability to "crossover" defenders without even touching the ball, then losing them as if he's on a give-and-go with himself is unreal. What a treat to watch.

By 2026 he'll probably be dead from health issues. He will still be Emperor when FIFA decides on the location.

Oh, and Sepp Bladder tweeted his support for the Morocco bid.
