World Soccer XXVII: The REAL Football

I laughed when I watched too, but I saw an interesting question online. Can you find that funny/ok and still be mad/upset/opposed to the Mexico goalkick chant which was clearly heard at Atlanta on Sunday?
I saw that too. To be honest, they're not the same but they are the same is what I'd say. A terrible non answer I know. But, there is somewhat of a difference in that "move b****!" is supposed to be lighthearted while puto really isn't. The problem is, calling someone a b**** or a puto doesn't make much difference, it's all meant to be the same emasculating bs.

Best answer: I don't really have a problem with it like puto but I know I should.

That sounds about right. It sounds alot like my friend having no problem doing cussing chants but refusing to sing along to "you look like a chaquita banana" at the tampa bay rowdies in their all yellow jerseys because of his perceived racial undertones because of the banana >>> monkey slight you see hurled at black players in Europe semi-regularly.

Re: World Soccer XXVII: The REAL Football

Actually the chant was "move b****! Get off the pitch! Get off the pitch b****! Get off the pitch!"

If they could get a couple thousand people to chant that in unison, that would be pretty impressive.

Re: World Soccer XXVII: The REAL Football

I read some article about it being the worst chant EVER created and I was a little taken back by that...maybe if soccer players didn't act up for every little bump I could see it but the way they dive all the time, they deserve to be made fun of for faking injuries...I know us MNUFC Supporters do the family guy wincing but I doubt that gets picked up by a TV broadcast...

Lol really?

I know in Seattle they chant "let him die!"

Re: World Soccer XXVII: The REAL Football

Yeah, no. Translate some of the Lazio chants sometime.

Oh I completely agree, I thought it was quite funny while also realizing it probably crosses the line but it's far from the worst chant ever created.

Yeah, there's stuff in Italian soccer that will curl your nose hairs. I can't imagine what the ultras come up with in places like Greece, Turkey, or Ukraine.

The Barcelona PSG game is unreal.

The best collapse since 1940

Check out the translation of the chants in Belgrade when Serbia played Albania in the last Euro qualifying.
That whole game turned into an epic sh**-show

Was it the Serbian association ultras that the Vice Sports show was about? Those guys were, I believe the kids today are calling it, savage.

Re: World Soccer XXVII: The REAL Football

Orange ball alerts have been issued for this weekend for Kansas City, New England, and Minnesota...

edit: And for the lulz, KC plays Dallas, NE plays Orlando, and MN plays Atlanta. :D
