I didn't mean you in general. I meant the people at large. It's just silly that someone would take every shot he can just to be a hipster delta bravo. What a S****horpe. :D
Oh no doubt. Nothing MLS will ever do will be enough to please them.

edit: It's funny that in places where MLS is successful they're being marginalized and weeded out.

I really don't get Deadspin's searing hatred of MLS.

It follows on with their searing hatred of sports in general. And people. And anything at all that represents the mainstream. American anything represents the mainstream, therefore MLS sucks.

This is what happens when you have a site about sports written by hipsters.

Here's a radical idea. If you don't like sports, don't write about it. I'd be glad to take their place.

"I've heard" seems to be a recurring theme surrounding several theories you've tossed out. ;)

He's been very heavy-handed to English clubs on the Financial Fair Play Rules.

And he's corrupt just like the lot of them.

If you remember what happened after Hillsborough, the French president of UEFA called Liverpool fans animals. There's always been a snooty bias against the Brits by the French. It seems whenever a Frenchman gets power, he's a corrupt jerk.

Re: World Soccer XXV - the run up to the World Cup

Because an overcrowding screw-up makes them animals. Good to know. Go read The Sun.
No, the fact that they're the English equivalent of white trash makes them animals, which in turn led to the overcrowding screw-up. Obviously.

White trash? Classy guy you are. But you probably don't care about the little people. Do you?

Re: World Soccer XXV - the run up to the World Cup

Ok, now I'm confused. How did Leprechauns get into the discussion?

I cited examples on why there seems to be French bias against the English. I cited Hillsborough and how then UEFA President Jacques George called the Liverpool fans animals.

jmh said they were animals and I got upset because the disaster was an overcrowding issue. (The Taylor Report stated that it could've happened anywhere with any set of fans.) Calling a bunch of innocent kids and fans animals shows how classy the guy is.

Your original claim was that it was all of FIFA, then became one Frenchman. And your one example as proof was an opinion piece that didn't actually assert that English anything was an overall target.

But carry on.

jmh crossed a line to be honest. To refer to the 96 victims of Hillsborough as "animals" is pretty * horrible. (JFT96)
I'm kidding, man. Obviously I don't think they're animals. You've never heard people making fun of Scousers before?
