Just saw the highlight. I don’t understand any of that. She had two Spaniards around her, even if you misjudge how close they are it wasn’t a good spot for that pass. Either boot it or pass it to the right to the two uncovered Americans.

Dunno about that, I'd give us the slight edge, but we're not going to be given the same goals we were against weaker opponents. And I suppose I'd rather the opponent goal be due to a dumb play on our end (which we can control) than a good play on their end (which is harder to control).

By the letter it was a penalty but I've seen a lot worse not get called. OTOH, Spain has gotten away with chippy crap all over the pitch this half.

Have you watched the games in 2018 or this WC? Referees aren’t going to give cautions very often, FIFA wants 22 on the field and no silly suspensions.
