At halftime the USWNT leads Sweden 1-0. In the other match, Chile has hit the frame twice so the game remains scoreless. As it stands now, the Super Eagles from Nigeria would advance.

What a goal by Tobin Heath.

That was offside by Carli Lloyd though...we'll see if it is called...she never touched the ball but...

Chile up 2-0 with a penalty following VAR. hit it and they’re through to the next round and... clanked off the crossbar. 5 minutes to go

I'm not watching the game. Just the stats. Why is this recorded as an own goal?

Chile can’t get it done, even with a pulled keeper. 2-0 win that might as well be a loss. Nigeria will be the final third place team.

It deflected off a defender after Heath shot it. I assume FIFA looked at the angle of the shot before and after the deflection to reach that decision. Tough call for Tobin.

The 7' are over and Nigeria survives as Chile hits the frame AGAIN in the 86th minute.

I just watched the highlights. No way in heck that was an own goal. Good heavens. How do these decisions get made?

Honduras had 35 shots without a goal.

From a Comment in that game:

The stats for this game were unreal. Honduras got off 35 shots, of which 13 were on target and 2 hit the posts. They also made well over 400 passes with an unheard of 96% completion rate. And yet somehow they managed not to score even one goal.
