Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

And just when we thought the New York Red Bulls were turning the corner, they get eliminated by Houston...

Meaning the Eastern Conference Final is Houston vs Sporting KC... Again.

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

Watching RSL - LA I'd completely forgot they sing this song. Now, it's stuck in my head...

Admitedly, even being a Seattle fan, I like it and it's cool they get everybody to sing and clap along.

Well, the Timbers are certainly in control.
And Sigi Schmid is 45 minutes from being fired.

The pitchforks and torches are out in Seattle and they want blood.

You need to score, you need to win, you have some of the best offensive talent in the league, and you play defensively? You leave two DPs on the bench? It's just terrible.

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

BTW, to any big name soccer coaches, tidy up the resume and Seattle may offer you a nice compensation package.

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

So Portland beats Seattle, faces RSL in the West.

#sigiout is trending in Seattle. Like I said: blood.

When did Seattle sports fans become such entitled whiners?

You have to remember that the Sounders are where the fans have some control with the way things are run, including whether to get rid of the GM. It actually says something when they voted overwhelmingly to retain the GM last year and this year they want the coach out.

And the Cosmos are in the NASL championship. :D Just sayin'.

Ever since they lost that Super Bowl and decided the best way to deal with it was to spend the next decade complaining about being robbed.
