Watch, Mexico will choke against New Zealand.

Nope. They'll be down 4-1 after the first leg, then score 6 goals in stoppage time of a 6-2 victory in the second leg to advance to Brazil, where they will get to the semifinals.
In the meantime, the Cardinals will win the World Series, the Manning family will get another Super Bowl MVP, Texas A&M will play Oregon for the NCAA national championship and LeBron will win the Masters. Because that's what the sports world does to you, it kicks you in the ****ing groin whenever it wants to.
And ESPN will devote 5 seconds of coverage to who wins the Stanley Cup.![]()
I wouldn't be too worried about distribution for the world cup. FIFA likes having a variety and currently all the non-powers get about about 1 spot per ten.
CONCACAF: 3.5 for 35
AFC: 4.5 for 43
CAF: 5.0 for 52
OFC: 0.5 for 11
Based on FIFA rankings, CONCACAF is way better than Asia and pretty on par with Africa.
All I am saying is that FIFA loves the international flavor of the World Cup the way it is...CONMEBOL and UEFA aren't likely to get more seeds because of that preferred balance. Obviously performing on the big stage is important for appearances but Africa hasn't done much of anything beyond Ghana and yet do you feel they are in jeopardy of losing part of their 5 spots? Asia hasn't done much beyond South Korea and Japan as hosts. It is what it is but I just don't see FIFA doing much to that balance.OK and you tell me when you ever trust FIFA to do the right thing? See Qatar 2022.

I understand the distrust and I wouldn't put it past them to take away a half spot from one and give it to another but it seems way more likely that OFC/AFC merge and the half spot goes somewhere else. You have a good point but I still have a total distrust for FIFA. With that said the thing I am most happy with is the fact the team didn't lay down. They wanted to win, screwing over rivals be ****ed, they never stopped trying. This was far from an A team, Panama knew they had to win to have a chance yet the Americans still won.
We are all New Zealanders! What is their mascot anyway? The hobbit?
Actually they're the "All Whites".That or the Maori Warrior.
