Re: World Soccer XXIII - "Pay" Up Pompey?
EDIT: Look at my standings right now...Jamaica is not currently 0-8-2...I'm assuming they go 0-4-0 after going 0-4-2 through their first 6...
You really don't get it? Jamaica is at the bottom of the table, they haven't looked very good, haven't won a game yet so its quite likely they continue to lose so I ASSUMED Jamaica loses the rest of its games and produced a standings based on those results. The point I'm trying to make is that if Jamaica checks out, Mexico is at a disadvantage. I already conceded that chronologically those standings can never exist. That isn't the point. Basically all the standings show is that Mexico didn't get their 6 points from Jamaica and everyone other than Panama is likely to get 6. This is it, if you can't understand what I did I'm done...and if you can't understand what I did I don't know how I can respect anything you've ever said on this board relating to any other topic because if you can't understand this I don't know how you can have an opinion that involves a logical thought.what are your projected final standings after each team finishes all ten of their matches, assuming Jamaica loses every game from here on out?
You only show each team having played six games, not ten. that is where I can't follow you. Your standings are impossible if you are only talking about the first six games, because US plays Honduras and Costa Rica plays Panama, and if you are only projecting the standings after the first six games are completed, you have all four of those teams winning their next game.
You say "it is for all games currently completed" but it is not; US, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Panama have only completed five games, not six.
Jamaica doesn't play another game, and neither does Mexico, until after the other four play one more game first.
so, in your scenario, if jamaica loses its remaining four games, how do the other five teams fare once all ten games have been completed?
BTW, I do agree with you that there are plenty of scenarios in which Mexico could be in big trouble. Three 0-0 games at home is no way to qualify!
