How the hell are we still tied with an Antigua? If we can't beat this lot, we don't deserve to qualify.

Thing of it is, this isn't that far off of the best team we can put on the field right now, especially given the players available. The only gripe I could have here is that JK put them out in a 4-3-3 instead of a 4-4-2.

A lot can change in 2 years. The U.S. traditionally does quite well in World Cups outside of Europe, so I am still hopeful that they can perform up to/beyond expectations in '14...assuming they qualify.

I'm a huge Klinsmann fan. We could have a better defense, but things are not so black as maybe 3 months ago. I wasn't on board with Bradley but he is proving me wrong now big time.

Excellent game by USMNT last night (from the 6th minute on, anyway....). Several key players out with illness or injury, their replacements stepped up big time. Time of possession was something like 75% to 25%.

Then I watched Mexico vs El Salvador on Univision, and that tempered my enthusiasm somewhat....:o

Dempsey. The Spurs got a great deal with him.

As far as the next qualifying round... Just make the top three. That should be attainable. Plenty of time until March to evaluate.
