Re: World Soccer XIII: Through the Group Stages

Question for those who know more than me. Is Green thought of as the best of their three keepers? Or are they all pretty even?

I think David James is probably their best keep, but a little on the elderly side.

Now, I AM biased because I've met James, and he gave me some great tips when I used to play.

GK is the one place on the pitch where the US outclassed the Brits, and boy did it pay off there.

Re: World Soccer XIII: Through the Group Stages

No, not enough control.
To elaborate for those who aren't really familiar with soccer, an Own Goal is typically when a ball is played not towards the net and is deflected, attempted to be cleared, misplayed etc. and ends up in the net. Generally, if the ball is on frame, on net, and it's deflected, like the Dempsey goal, it's not an Own Goal.

When's the last time someone from Manchester cheered a Liverpool captain? ;)

Re: World Soccer XIII: Through the Group Stages

If Green comes back in goal for the second half for England I'd be surprised.
England ought to put him directly on a plane back to the UK.
That was an awful goal.
(I'll take it though.)

Great shot of Americans and Brits serving together in Afghanistan watching the game.
