Will they take a check?

Re: World Soccer XI: To South Africa, and Beyond!

So Burnley kinda got hosed today against Fulham. There were questions about all three Fulham goals, and the first two certainly seemed like they should've been ruled out for offsides. Still, Fulham dominated the match pretty thoroughly, and if the goals hadn't come when they did then they probably would've come at another point. Amazing how a few home matches can get you out of the doldrums. Hopefully they can keep the momentum going against Notts County on Sunday leading into the big first leg against Shakhtar in London next Thursday.

Not only does Man U. get the inherent benefits of just being Man U., but they just benefitted from the 10th own goal of the season against them. That is their second leading scorer behind Rooney.

1-1 at Villa Park.

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. That must be some sort of record. :D

Well, Nani just got an early shower. Iffy red card, he got the ball, but he also came over it with his studs up. Yellow certainly, red, well, maybe.

Some say it's good to be United, but a lot of times the refs go after you a little too hard. They don't want to be thought of as being soft on United. Nani should have gotten a card, but not a red one.

Arsenal wins 1-0. They get away with a second handball at the death, this time outside of the box.

I liked what I saw from Donovan today. He wore out Cole on the right flank and then finished off his night with a solid, clean tackle that had Ashley limping out of the game. He was great on the right and probably should've had a few assists. I really hope he can find a way to stay over there through the end of the year.

Hell, I'll take it! We have been brutal lately vs Chelski, Man Utd, and Villa. Thank God our tough stretch is over... fairly tame waters to the wire now. Game on as Arsenal are 6 pts back of Chelski and 5 pts back of Man Utd.
