As I type that Charlie Davies NEARLY scores, but is cleared off the line by a defender. Yikes.

US needs to sweep the 2 qualifiers this week. El Savador and @T&T is games you have to win.

No kidding. Donovan said it best before the game, if you can't beat El Salvador at home, you don't deserve to go to the World Cup.

USA has dominated play so far. This could easily be a 3-1 or 4-1 game.

Oh, and that was totally onside right there by El Salvador. No issues there whatsoever.

Do we need Sam's Army to remake themselves as violent ultras or something in order to get calls? Seriously. I want blood.

Los Catrachos are up 2-0. If this holds up (which I'm not taking for granted with the usual referees/Bob Bradley combination), a win from the Ticos would be really, really sweet.

Refs couldn't find a way to give El Salvador a late goal. US gets their much needed 3 points.

That was a huge come from behind win for the US. I have no idea what was going through the refs mind on the no-goal for Altidore.

We played well, but I have to imagine that we'll have to play a little better at the back at T&T to get another 3 points on Wednesday. Saying that, if we can pull out a win, we should have the points necessary to qualify.

Personally I'd like to see Refs from nations that aren't in the Hex. Maybe this ref was just bad, but in a confederation run by Jack Warner its easy to see conspiracies and bias.
