Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2026-27

What can you say about Nela? Going to be one of the all-timers and that is saying something at this university
She is amazing! She played amazing in u18 but Slovenia did not make it to the top division. She won’t get as much international play which will put her in the shadows for a bit. Slovenia has such young talent that I expect to see them make the top division perhaps 2028/2029.

Unfortunately they already played for 2027 and came third bc that was back in April which means Slovenia will not be in the top division 2026 or 2027. France will be in the top division next worlds.

According to the UW record book (updated since the last time I looked, to include Kelly Gorbatenko last year), before this year, there had been ten instances of a Badger player scoring four goals in a game, done by eight players (amazingly, Brooke Ammerman did it three times), plus Hilary Knight's five-goal game.

So far this year, we've added an eleventh four-goal game, and now a second five-goal game.

And there are FOUR players on the current roster who are part of those lists: Cassie Hall and Kelly G with four goal games prior to this year, Rosalie Tremblay with a four-goal game two weeks ago, and now Nela Lopusanova's five-goal game yesterday.

Where do you access the record book?

This week's USCHO poll: 16 pollsters voted Minnesota second and 4 voted them third; 4 voted Wisconsin second, 15 voted them third. And one voted Wisconsin fourth! LOL!!

This is INSANE. The question will all the newcomers be ready for prime time in March? Getting consistent play out of them is the challenge.

The week off sucks, but then we get 5 straight weeks of hockey, including 3 straight weeks at home.

Ooops! You're right. It's Minnesota that got a 4th place vote.
It could be either - the scenario where Minnesota could get it the 4th place vote - or the scenario you layed outfirst with Minnesota getting (16) 2nds and (4) thirds.

The important thing here is that somebody thought - presumably Northeastern, but possibly Princeton or Quinnipac, was better than either Wisconsin or Minnesota.
