Mankato can be fun. One of the hotels is connected to the rink by an indoor walkway. There's usually an unofficial gathering at one of the pubs near the rink before each game.

The men have a game at the KC that night vs Robert Morris. No time set yet.
(The night before, Thursday, has women hockey at 7 PM, and volleyball in the Field House at 8 PM.)
I think you should check another site. You could also stay in Superior as prices are usually a little cheaper.

I figured there's probably going to be a men's game at 8:00 that same day. I understand they're pigeon holed with the schedule, but I mean, some people got to work you know. I may have to consider doing the double that day.

I did check Superior. I'd rather spend my money in Wisconsin. I think staying at the hotel adjacent to the rink might be the way to go in Mankato unless it's like super pricey.

Oh, oh, way to go, Ohio. Lots of excess capacity on non-football weekends, especially if you're willing to venture in from the hinterlands. The beer culture isn't terrible and if you pick the right spots, they hate TWSNBN as much as we do. And, yes, the women play in a high school rink but the atmosphere there is far less oppressive than where the men play.

Hotels down by the lake and Canal Park are super convenient but always pricey. Last few years I've stayed up the hill towards Miller Hill Mall and the UMD campus.
Much more reasonable rates with a Tru by Hilton, a Hampton Inn, and more. Quick drive to free parking in Canal Park or reasonable parking at the arena anyway.
One caveat, the Tru by Hilton has been a bit noisy a couple times with youth hockey teams there.

Rosalie tremblay looks great out there for Canada! She will easily be a top 6 forward.
