Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2025-2026

One of the most insightful things I remember my sister saying:

We were watching the Super Bowl after the 1996 season at our mother's house. The game ends, the Packers have won, celebration happens, and then TV goes out to commercial. She says "I wonder how long it will take before we go from being "champions" to being "defending champions"?"

It took about 30 seconds after they came back from commercial.

Can we hold off on "yeah, but next year..." for a day or two?
I have a sickness about thinking ahead. I will try and control myself. For a few days anyway. 😵‍💫😬

There's no "but."

I'm excited for next year.

The great thing about college sports is that it's a program rather than a team and it's ever evolving and living and breathing. The old guard ages out and a new group steps in. I love the progression of it all.

Transfer portal opens tomorrow - hope we don't lose anyone.

The wheel turns and on we go.

Don't worry though, I'm savoring the F out of this title.

Somebody was spouting off about descent on the team and people wanted to leave LOL. Well Bucky B, whose mad now? 🤣. Sorry Robert, that lasted like 32 and 1/2 seconds.🤪

Here's the question I have about it. Is this. Vasseur is listed as being a resident of Wisconsin whereas Enright is resident of Minnesota. Is Vasseur's scholarship worth monetarily less because of in-state tuition versus out-of-state, so if you give it to Enright, you won't cover her full cost?
Does Wisconsin and Minnesota still have a recoprocity agreement? They did at one time which made tuition about equal for students of the two states. Maybe Wisconsin posters can put together a NIL deal to pay her tuition?

I read an article in the New York Times that MJ himself says next year's recruiting class is "one of our most skilled groups". Nela Lopusannova is considered by some to be the next Superstar.

Overall the ladies played a clean defensive game except for leaving Dunne all alone on the back door once, but Ava saved the bacon. I was also very pleased that they played with physical composure unlike the game before. I think Janacke likes to talk alot and that got under our skin way too much. I think she was emboldened by the quick start they had. I am very excited to see the Olympic year curse died and so did the back to back drought (yes that is a very greedy statement, but when you stare up at the banners, it eats at you).

I'm pondering going to the celebration tonight. I assume I won't get towed if I park in lot 91 without a permit. Thoughts? Otherwise I can park in the lot off Regent I guess.

I sure would like the hear PB's goal call on the 3rd goal. I'm not sure how to find that, but I'll poke around.

Flying our Badger flag out front again today.

Some confused neighbors may be thinking... but they lost to High Point... :D

Incredible 12 months of Women's hockey.

Badger title... sweep of Canada in the Rivalry Series... attended banner hanging game... attended other games... Olympic Gold... Non-Olympic Badgers secure regular season championship... attended NCAA first round victory... Badger title.

Dang!

After you endure a couple commercials at the beginning, the full radio broadcast is here.

Harvey's near miss at about 3 hours even, the faceoff before Enright's goal is about 3:02:30

Heck of a year of hockey! I put my Badger Hockey flag up Saturday, not as an act of cockiness (it was 50/50 they win in my head), but as a show of support. It's actually the 2006 double Natty flag. Now the boys need to come through. Let's go RED!

When I bring it up, the faceoff is at 2:44:45 and the goal is at 2:45:00. It cuts to commercial immediately after and comes back at 2:45:40. Does the one you have cut out all commercials during the game?
Edit: I guess that wouldn't be right.

Maybe it depends on the "platform" you access the web site with. I'm on a Windows desktop PC. Tablet/phone/Android might be different?

Lots 91 and 46 will be open for $5.00 starting at 4:00. It looks like 46 is the ramp closest to the Kohl. We always park there but never knew what number it is.
