Or talk about how Badgers women's hockey is affecting a broad audience? https://www.forbes.com/profile/laila-edwards/
How could we be talking about them if you hadn't posted them? Your last post was nine days ago. But OK, we'll go quiet, waiting for you.Or talk about how Badgers women's hockey is affecting a broad audience? https://www.forbes.com/profile/laila-edwards/
I must not be expressing myself clearly. This is a hockey forum. That is why I am here. If people want to talk about volleyball or lightweight rowing or club curling, there are places for those discussions and it isn't here. How could we be talking about them if you hadn't posted them? I invite the volleyball lovers to find themselves a different room. This room is for another purpose. Thank you for your understanding.
Men's team announces January 2nd and in the past they have announced the rosters on the same day. Last PWHL game before the break is January 28th.When will they announce the final US Olympic team? And when does that team "centralize"? Any predictions of our lines during that time? Will we roll with just three lines of offense? I am also interested in how many European players OSU loses to their respective national teams.
I also would expect them to lose Joy DunneMen's team announces January 2nd and in the past they have announced the rosters on the same day. Last PWHL game before the break is January 28th.
OSU will lose all four of their Europeans, I'm guessing.
Yep....Over the years I have done a scant little bit of posting about the volleyball team. I know Robert is a huge volleyball fan so I like to get his insight and I know practically nothing about it and this is the only forum that he and I share. I appreciate his insights and everybody else's this year. When the town I live in was hit by a tornado in May, a few folks posted on this thread about my well-being and I really appreciated that. It was a very stressful time for me, and I appreciate the opportunity to chat about it, it was therapeutic. It'll always be hockey first, but we can also be friends and have a side conversation or two on occasion. Let's go RED.I invite you to piss off.
Being a Badger fan involves multiple sports. This is a Wisconsin Badger thread and Badger fans can use it as we see fit.
You can just as easily scroll past.
We can get into the technical difficulties of "easily scrolling past" in the current format but that would be a digression. Being a Badgers fan is one thing. Being a Badgers women's hockey fan isn't necessarily the same thing. Some of us who root for Badgers women's hockey have contempt for the football program and how the AD's all-out support for it damages women's hockey and other so-called non-revenue sports. I personally am ambivalent about volleyball - live and let live - but when I come to a hockey forum and must awkwardly scroll through post after post about a topic that is not germane, the situation requires comment. Notice that I haven't invited anyone to piss off. That would be rude.I invite you to piss off.

Great article. Not sure if he’s trying to generate conversation but I can’t imagine the Badgers would try to sway McNaughton to stay home. Surely Mark Johnson understands the Olympic appeal. If anything I wonder if USA hockey ever gets to a point where they feel there are too many badgers and when it comes to two bubble players feel compelled to go elsewhere. I was surprised to see Hensley on there but I guess she brings experience.Found an article projecting the up coming Olympic roster for the USA.
Roster projection for 2026 Olympics
A couple take aways being Eden is on the roster and McNaughton is not.
I would think MJ would encourage any and all players with the opportunity to play in the Olympics to take it if it's in there control. At least I hope so. Also, isn't Peschel injured - I think I remember something about a broken ankle? How long does that take to heal?Great article. 25 names instead of the (unfortunate) limit of 23 and also players considered (and one selected) who haven't been in the national team camp at all this year. I'm guessing the writer didn't do all the proper research here.Found an article projecting the up coming Olympic roster for the USA.

Oh dang. So how many cuts does USA still have to make? Have they announced when the roster will be published? In previous years I recall Canada’s roster being published before Christmas. Appreciate all your hockey knowledge!25 names instead of the (unfortunate) limit of 23 and also players considered (and one selected) who haven't been in the national team camp at all this year. I think that was the hope and makes any defensive lapses palatable. For the Laila defense haters- she lead all D in points in the rivalry series.
Of course it’s a hockey thread but this forum has always been more about comradery among a niche group of people following a niche of a niche sport.
As women’s hockey gets more popular and numbers of posters soar to the low twenties perhaps it will put pressure on the longstanding culture here.
Until then carry on with your volleyball/fishing/weather talk. Here for it! I also bought a fishing license this past summer as my son got in to fishing. Touching worms, holding fish (small stocked fish mostly)… the things parents do for their kids.

Aren’t you the poster that said she’s barely a forward and that’s only because she can snipe? An absurd thing to say about a player with what she’s accomplished stats wise, award wise, championship wise. Not exactly “in support of her being succesful”.Imagine what she might do at forward with two other skilled players and not having defensive responsibilities.
We're all in support of her being successful.
Only speaking for myself, my beef is with USA Hockey on this one.

I have no idea how it will all play out. I just like cheering for the players.
