Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2021-2022

The centralized skaters could come back in 2022-2023, holding the same status as they would have had in 2021-2022, correct? Combining the Covid year with centralization is mind-bending for me.

Yeah, I really have no idea how that will all shake out. I didn't know if '21-'22 was the only year they could use their eligibility, so I have removed them from the sheets for now.

I found an excellent rate at the Sheraton Westport Chalet Hotel for the opening weekend with Lindenwood. I'm a "senior," which was the key to the great rate. Hope to see many WI fans there! The last time we went down for a regular-season series, the second game was canceled due to the infamous carbon monoxide leak. I hope fans will be allowed in the arena and that nothing untoward will happen this time!

We actually considered heading down for the series but the timing is not right. We may try and make a trip to rodentapolis for the rodent series or to St. Cloud.

Suggest you head up to St. Cloud where your chance to win will be better. :p : p ; );)

Looks like we're gonna have to wear masks inside the rink unless we are actively eating. I'm gonna put some weight on I guess. LOL. I'm not wearing one. We got vaccinated so we could very much lower the likelihood of ending up in the hospital and get our lives back. From Watts I have read, the delta has very little impact on the vaccinated. I should not have my life altered to protect the people who have convinced themselves the vaccine is a bad thing.

I wish you would wear a mask to protect my 3 little girls, who would like to attend the hockey games, but are still too young to be vaccinated. Vaccinated people can still spread the disease. We will be there as a family - I hope the arena feels safe so we can actually use our season tickets.

Wow, just so selfish and disappointing.

Per the CDC, since 1/4/2000, over a 590 day period, 423 people ages 0-18 have died from covid (131 0-4 and 292 5-18). One could make the case that getting the vaccine is a longer term health risk (with no long term study results available) than getting covid. I'm not sure I would get my kids vaccinated. In 2019-2020, 188 died from the flu, .51 per day. The covid number per day is .72.

For some perspective, in 2019 636 children ages 0-13 died in car accidents.

This is not your choice to make.

Being vaccinated does not mean you have some shield around you preventing the virus from getting to your body. You might still become infected. The vaccine means the virus will probably affect you less, possibly to a level such that you don't even know you are infected. Before Delta, the "viral load" of such a vaccinated but infected person was likely low enough that they could not infect others, and "I not wearing a mask" was more justifiable. But the viral load associated with Delta still makes such a person contagious; you might well be sitting there infected and contagious and not even know it. Kids currently cannot be vaccinated, and you know better than I that kids congregate by the 'tunnel' to the locker room by your seats. It is simply not your choice to make as to whether you want to risk their becoming infected or not.

The "social contract" you're agreeing to by coming into the building is that you are going to minimize that risk by wearing a mask. If you don't agree with the terms of that contract, don't come in. That is where you get to make your choice. But if you come into the building, put on your dam mask.
