Wisconsin Recruiting V - Does it even matter?

Maybe the locker room problems are the ones who are leaving? No one has posted any quotable info one way or the other.

I hope you are right Tim, but Messner captained the Capitals before coming to the Badgers. It makes me wonder.....

I am wondering as well, but I'm looking for shreds of hope. I think he left because he saw the logjam at F and felt like he couldn't crack the top 9 for regular playing time. Dooghe leaving is a bit more puzzling/worrisome as he was getting regular PT before last year, then had it slip away last year, especially after the injury. One would have thought he'd have the chops to go the "I'll show them" route, but for whatever reason he just decided not to fight it out here. The mentality of the team is not where it needs to be. I just shredded my own shred of hope. Nice one Tim.

Reading about the Ramsey commitment, it looks like Aiden Fink, a F who is 15 from Calgary also committed over the weekend. I do like the Canadian trend.

Man, it's hard to remember to come here sometimes now that the email alerts don't work.

I'll look at getting the recruiting sheet updated.

Re: Wisconsin Recruiting V - Does it even matter?

Liam Malmquist and Daniel Laatsch both signed NLI's last fall; they will be playing in USHL next year per Todd Milewski. Note correction, Malmquist in BCHL for one more year. And Laatsch went 7th overall in USHL draft.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Former NTDP defenseman Daniel Laatsch of Altoona said he's expecting to be picked by a USHL team today. He signed a letter of intent with the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Badgers?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Badgers</a> but will play a year in the USHL first.</p>— Todd Milewski (@ToddMilewski) <a href="https://twitter.com/ToddMilewski/status/1257733461323976704?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 5, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

For some reason, I’d completely forgotten about this when I saw TM tweeting about who was joining the team this year.
