Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXIX: Yes, this is the Rumpel Rink!

Last I heard, SNC was leading 4 - 1.[/QUOTE]

Does anyone know what the final score was?

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXIX: Yes, this is the Rumpel Rink!

I didn't realize how bad the Wisconsin program had become. Tying a D3 team scrimmage or not is about as low as you can go.

As much as I would want to boast about this from an SNC POV, I wasn't there. I don't know how seriously UW took it. I don't know if UW used its usual line combinations or experimented all night. And, although SNC has seven rookies, it is usually not an average D3 team - and is one that likely played like it had something to prove.

Not as low as it would be for all the DI teams St. Norbert would beat more often than not.

I wonder if Baggot will have the balls to write about today's "scrimmage" or if he will continue to be Eaves puppet?

I don't care how many freshman you have in the lineup....when are the writers going to start addressing the core problems with this program???

Report I am getting is that the scrimmage was a fast moving, up and down contest. The Badgers played their top lines and their top two goalie shared the minutes in the net..Six of seven SNC freshmen were in the starting lineup.
Happy with the tie esp. with SNC having only five official practices in the bank and UW already playing four games.
Great preparation for the boys leading into their first NCHA games next Friday and Saturday..
Attendance est @ 100...about 90% SNC fans!!

Thank you.

This just isn't where Wisconsin hockey should be. I don't care if Wisconsin "took this game seriously" or not. Either way they should win by about 5-7 goals and NO I am not kidding.

Wisconsin hockey "we're 0-4, tied a D-3 team and play boring a s s defensive style hockey, anyone want to come play for us?"

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXIX: Yes, this is the Rumpel Rink!

Here's the weird thing: Even considering all the departures and lack of depth, I still can't look at last year's team, then look at this year's team, and understand how this team has played as poorly as they have. Maybe I'm just delusional, but I can't help but feel like I should sit and wait for the sporadic wins to happen.

The flaw in your question is that it assumes the writers are smart enough to realize there are core problems that exist.
