Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Does the whole "white out the Kohl Center" apply to both games this weekend or what?

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Doesn't sounds like Eaves is going anywhere anytime soon.

Yes it does appear that way based on the UW website which says "'White Out the Kohl Center' for Jan. 30-31 series against Minnesota"

True that isn't crystal clear though. Should say "both nights" or something. But yes, if you're going tonight and you wish to play along, better get out the whites.

Interesting that Wagner has been moved up top with Besse and LaBate and Rockwod is going to center the third line. Wagner plays hard all the time, I'll say that for him.

What about the "white out" are you protesting? I'm curious.

Because it's just another ploy to get you to buy an overpriced shirt. Not me. I would be wearing red. But I m out of town. Until changes are made at coach I spend as little as possible at the game.....

I don't know...$15 for a long-sleeve shirt seems like a reasonable price. And they are kind of cool looking shirts.

It isn't like they are having a "wear your red Badger jersey (sweater)" promotion that would be asking people to shell out $120.

Barry better wake up. He is talking about 1992. Right when he took over. Eaves had had thirteen years and we are at this level. I'm sick of this bs. Reading that article just fired me up more. It's a slap in the face to hockey ticket holders who have to watch this product in the ice.

Feel free to give them your $15. They don't deserve it.....

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

I made the comment that I had never seen 4 goals scored by the same team in 1:40 and the boy reminded me that Ben (a pee wee teammate) got a hat trick in one shift... in pee wee. :D

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

So, umm...the Badgers scored five goals. I guess that's nice. Things were going so awesomely early on, and then we were reminded of what year it is.

I think the NHL record for a hattrick by a player is 21 seconds.

Hard on these boys to keep shooting themselves in the foot. I feel bad for them. Besse was pretty straight forward post game. Basically said they keep letting it slip away... Have to learn to not get so excited to have a lead and just stick to the game plan and play.

Sometimes it's just really hard to get over the hump.

At least it wasn't boring. Yeah, the 5 goals are nice (especially with 3 of them being from Minnesota guys) but the catastrophic defensive breakdowns were hard to stomach. I'll give the student section a lot of credit, they came off on TV very loud and engaged throughout the game.

Who knows what to expect tomorrow night?

I couldn't agree more. You just wonder what the hell universe Barry lives in now?

The measure is how patient he would be with a head football coach whose teams were performing this way more years than not. It's pretty easy to be patient if you care less.

Football coach goes 2-10 overall and 1-7 in conference at UW is NOT returning for another season.

I don't see why an equivalently bad season from the hockey team wouldn't justify removing the coach.

On a marginally unrelated issue, I have a handful of assorted badger schedule posters and magnets from 1999-00 to 2009-10 along with some other assorted things from that timeframe that need to be cleared out of storage. If anyone is interested, drop me an email at djallman @ uw.edu.
