Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

I also doubt the sincerity of the apology. And I want one of the proposed t-shirts. I saw something on Facebook about submitting photos to win tickets to the big ten tourney in Detroit... I don't really want to go, but I kind of want to submit a picture with an idiot fan sign.

Writing has to be on the wall at this point.
Public Relations Rule #1:
You don't insult the fans when you are already in the middle of a PR crisis from unhappy fans.

The irony is, regardless of how ill informed a fan may be, that any fan who is complaining still cares enough to be vocal, once someone stops complaining the emotional ties are broken.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Tonight marked the 6th time this season that the Badgers were shutout. Most likely a new program single season record.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Fire Eaves! Fire Eaves! Fire Eaves! I used to watch the badgers no matter the score or the teams. Now I just periodically check to see if by some miracle the badgers are actually winning. It's kinda sad because I still wear my badger jersey on both Friday and Saturday to support the team and I get crap from my friends who don't have a clue how hockey is played (and who think golf, yes GOLF, is more interesting).

Sheesh. I wish you guys could get your facts straight just one time.

It only ties the shutout record. We don't go for the gold until tomorrow night.

PSU put 6 up on the wolfies tonight.....geez. I want to be positive and support the lads, but this is just an epically bad deal.

I'm watching the DU St. Cloud game and they are interviewing Motzko.....he recruits offense first and foremost. I like the sound of that.

Just to put how few goals they have scored this year into perspective.
Heater/Rhino scored a combined 54 goals in the season they played together.
This year’s team so far has scored a combine 56 goals.

In Baggott's celebrated article he points out that UW's 4 most veteran forwards have a combined 13 goals this year. I again read another comparison to MN last year bringing in a bunch of freshman and being great. MN's 5 most veteran forwards combined for over 60 goals last year. Two of them each had more than 13 by themselves. Anyone can certainly blame Eaves all they want for the having an empty cupboard, that's fine. But separate from the blaming, that IS the primary reason this team has struggled so much and hasn't won.

It's not primarily because the freshman are all terrible players and won't be/aren't getting better. 97% of freshman in D-1 are terrible on their own.

In 1986, Mike Donnelly, Michigan State had 59 goals in one season.

2014/15 UW hockey team has 56 total goals.

Baggot's "celebrated" article?

Seriously, who are you related to on this team?

Shuey hung himself. Plain and simple.

You can't continue to believe this, you just can't (meaning you hold Eaves blameless for a 4-23-4 record). This team is worse than anything Sauer produced. The talent isn't there and that's 100% on the coaches there's NO OTHER WAY TO ANALYZE THIS.

That stat below re: goals scored is interesting. Clean house STAT!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Only idiots care about stuff like this, but the Badgers set a new school record last night. With their 23rd loss, they set a new program record for regular season losses.

Congrats!
