Awesome. Didn't see wisko at the bar, which was the only disappointment. Anyone want to pay to keep me and thehallucination in Florida for another week so we can watch regionals from our lucky bar!!?

How about you come home and we'll get you some money for gas and a return trip, that would save us some cash.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

Darren Pang gave us a shout-out on the Blues broadcast.

Was in regards to Robb Ramage's kid getting it done, but nice to see some level of awareness.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

I am so proud of what this team and their coaching staff accomplished. Unbelievable finish to the good old WCHA. Thanks, guys.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

WOW. That was quite intense. I was only able to follow along on the UWBadgers.com live blog, but they did a great job with that. What an incredible run. They screwed up early, and didn't get the help they needed in the past week, so they just went on and won the games! This team is silly good. Unfortunately, we'll probably be a low seed and face one of the very tippety-top teams...but does that seem to matter anymore?

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

Hey guys! Wisconsin moved into 14th in the PairWise with that win! We've got a good chance to make it! :D

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

On the glass at the X this weekend was the 2nd best experience I've had watching badger hockey.

I'm proud of how this team never quit (and never listened to us detractors) and while this team still has things to work on they will give UML/ND/Miami quite a challenge in the first round. Definitely a team that the top seeds are not going to want to play.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

When we talk about what's happened with regards to enthusiasm for Badger hockey, I feel like getting back to the NCAA tournament this year would be absolutely huge. Let's go!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

Congrats to a wild Bucky championship finish to the WCHA F5. The coaching staff and players really worked through a lot of adversity this season, but closed out the final WCHA season as true winners. I love seeing this underdog storyline play out; it's what makes college hockey the great game it is. Winning the last Broadmoor is indeed a proud and memorable accomplishment for the University of Wisconsin players and coaches to reflect on for years to come. Congratulations on a job well done.:)

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

What a great run, the Badgers really put it all together. Congrats to CC, they played great too and Howe was outstanding. It' s sweet to not have to sweat out the selection committee and on to the NCAA. Just look at what the LA Kings did once they got into the playoffs....the only weak spot Bucky has to fix is their anemic PP, if they don't get better they will not last long.

What a great way to finish out in the WCHA, nice!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

The play of the second line has made a serious contribution to this team's success over the second half of the season. Woods and LaBate have raised their level of play significantly. They both seem to have more jump and confidence in their play. Pretty impressive quickness given their size.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

So from what I see, UML will be playing you guys in the first round... Do the 2 hottest teams in college hockey have to play in the first round! Fireworks in round one!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

Having seen this whole thing unfold since December, what happened this weekend was very very cool. It's the storyline we all love--Bad News Badgers.

WE SING WE DANCE says it all. Congrats. Even for us idiots it was fun.

But now stay the hill out of UND's way.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

WOW.......what a game.......what a run over the past 31 games.

At word on if Derek Lee will be ready for the tournament? I haven't heard anything on Morgan Zulinick lately - is he done for the season?

During the pre game on the radio, they did say that Lee might be ready this weekend. They might have even said that he would be ready if the Badgers make the NCAA.

Can't imagine that Zulinick will be back this season. If Lee comes back, who else are you going to sit to get him in the lineup? Already one will have to (for Lee).

Wouldn't seem right to throw a freshman in there who has years left and who didn't contribute to the current run. He'll get his shot next year - or should.

Wow - one month ago tomorrow this thread (or another Wisco one) was blowing up with calls for the head of Coach Eaves and the loss to Penn State being the death of Badger hockey. Maybe you can thank our guys for the wake-up call! ;)

Congrats to the team for a great stretch run and good luck to them in the tournament.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

I wasn't suggesting that Zulinick be inserted into the starting lineup - just wondered how serious his injury was. It wouldn't hurt to have an offensively gifted guy like him available if an injury popped up though - this team has plenty of grinders.

I just went back and looked at the first 10 games of the season (1-7-2) and Bucky scored 18 goals in those 10 games. Fast forward to to Final Five and they score 14 goals in 3 games - quite a difference on the offensive end of the rink lately.

I was impressed with Dahl last night - feisty as heck and looked confident with the puck. He's got a little bit of "Licari" in him methinks........ :)

We owe it all to you! :D

This doesn't change some (any) of the issues that we were talking about. It just allows us a week or two of respite.

Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is that even winning a Natty probably won't bring a single lost season ticket holder back and we'll probably still lose a bunch of current ones next year. There are still issues, but today, for now, things are good. :)

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol XXV: There's Hope! Or whatever...

A well deserved tournament win by the Badgers. You earned it. Please lose before you play us again. Sincerely, Goldy.
