Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XXI - For every dark night, there's a brighter day
Hard to say on the PP situation. Derek Lee and Michael Mersch need to be out there on the top unit as well. I've heard serious rumblings about Derek Lee running the point on the PP (which I love). If that happens, you'll likely have McCabe on the weakside point, Mersch out front, Zengerle on the half wall, and Barney down low. But we'll see. LH/RH is very important in positioning on these guys, so that could have an effect on if Kerdiles gets any PP time.
One thing I will note, the second power play unit will be MUCH improved this season. Last year Wisconsin might as well have gone to 5 on 5 after 1:20 because that second unit was painful to watch.
That's what I thought I saw...Kerdiles is going to have every chance to rack up some major points if he skates with these 2. And he will make Barnes and 1st Star better too from a set-up standpoint. One would assume that will also be a pp unit. I'm hoping for 1989-1990 Shuchuk (80 pts) / Tancill (71 pts) / Sagissor (47 pts) numbers. :O
