Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XXI - For every dark night, there's a brighter day

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XXI - For every dark night, there's a brighter day

That's what I thought I saw...Kerdiles is going to have every chance to rack up some major points if he skates with these 2. And he will make Barnes and 1st Star better too from a set-up standpoint. One would assume that will also be a pp unit. I'm hoping for 1989-1990 Shuchuk (80 pts) / Tancill (71 pts) / Sagissor (47 pts) numbers. :O

Hard to say on the PP situation. Derek Lee and Michael Mersch need to be out there on the top unit as well. I've heard serious rumblings about Derek Lee running the point on the PP (which I love). If that happens, you'll likely have McCabe on the weakside point, Mersch out front, Zengerle on the half wall, and Barney down low. But we'll see. LH/RH is very important in positioning on these guys, so that could have an effect on if Kerdiles gets any PP time.

One thing I will note, the second power play unit will be MUCH improved this season. Last year Wisconsin might as well have gone to 5 on 5 after 1:20 because that second unit was painful to watch.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XXI - For every dark night, there's a brighter day

Just a week out til the U18, I want to toss out some F line combos

Kerdiles - Zengerlee - Barnes
Zulinick - Lee - Mersch
Labate - Woods - Meuer
R Little - Dahl - S Little
Navin - Paape - Bell

I like Kerdiles & Zulinick on the top 2 lines to really get these young guys started on the scoring sheet. You could run those out as pp units as well. Woods/Meuer, Dahl/R Little could be pk'ers.

This is what I would run out there, I wrote about it a few weeks back.

Kerdiles-Zengerle-Barnes
Labate-Lee-Mersch
Zulinick-Woods-Navin
R. Little-Dahl-Meuer
----------------------------
Bell-Paape-S. Little

Was told tonight Kerdiles is still running on that top unit, so I would expect that at least for the exhibition.

Anyone else excited about the exhibition on Saturday?

I know it is only the usntdp, but I'm looking forward to seeing how much the team has grown, especially the sophomores. A summer of uw weight room time should have helped.

I am very excited and would be going it it wasn't for a full price ticket cost for an exhibition. I expect a very detailed report early next week, especially on the Fr.

Eaves confirms to the media today that Derek Lee will take over as the power-play 'QB' this season. Although if you've been paying attention, I already told you that hah.

For the game on Saturday against US Development, how many players can dress? If not all, who isn't going to make the line up?

I'm not using my tix. It's just a donation to the athletic dept.

Anyone who wants them can have them for free. 4 Seats, section 204, row A.

How do I go about getting these from you?

They suited up 4 lines, 3 sets of D and an extra defenseman last year for the U18 game.

You sit one section over and two rows in front of me. Best seats in the house IMHO!

I use to sit at the top of 105, but moved upstairs and will never go back down.

Agreed 100%.

I've had opportunities to "upgrade" and have passed. I hate sitting in the 100s. Every seat in the 200s, imo, is a good seat.

My Saturday seats are 223 row B.

I'm all set. :)

I sit in 201 on saturdays. I would rather b a couple sections more into a corner, but sitting literally behind the badger goal is fun. Except when they lose in ot and the goal is scored right in front of you.

I disagree... we found bad seats in the 200s. Must be where they put the SCSU fans. :)

I keep forgetting you guys even have a program. Now you're telling me you also have "fans." And that some of these "fans" actually travel.:eek:

This will take some getting used to... :p:D

Compared to the majority of the seats in the 100 and 300 levels, the 200 level seats are very nice.

I've never sat in any bad seats in the 200's and I end up with the leftovers from the season ticket holders when I buy single game seats. It must be the company you associate with.

I'd encourage all the men's fans to attend the inaugural women's game on the 19th @ the LaB. The tickets are reserved as I found out last night when I ordered mine and they are not doing print at home tickets for this game, so it's will-call or mail. I'm in WH row 11, where ever that is (I couldn't find a seating chart online.)
