But she has two shoulders why would she need another one? ;)

She could be a hunchback!

I've always been partial to the comic stylings of Jay Mohr.

The rule I live by in sports:

Don't poke the bear.

Meaning, after a loss, don't taunt. He said he was in a bad mood, he was being mocked a bit, what did you think would happen? I'm not defending him, as I'm not a fan of him, but I HOPE that the MN fanbase can act like adults. Apparently, some of you cannot.

Mentioned this on twitter but I'm sure most didn't see it. Eaves mentioned it after Saturday's game that Derek Lee was a scratch due to an undisclosed upper body injury. We were told before the game that he was sick.

Eaves said that they waited until later in the day before scratching him, so I would assume it's not too serious then.

Hopefully he'll have more info in his presser tomorrow.

First off, Mariucci wasn't taunting him. He was being REALLY civil. He was just talking about a recruiting topic that irritated Chuck. And Chuck didn't say he was in a "bad mood" until the VERY post he blasted Mariucci in.

Bottom line, Chuck was probably just blowing off steam, and was irritated by what he perceived as "lecturing" by Gopher fans (though I've known Mariucci a long time and know he was just trying to have a conversation about something he's interested in and was trying to build a connection with Badger fans on this board).

Chuck could have been WAY more diplomatic about things, and admitted as much. So please, if you're going to stand on your soap box and preach morals to me, at least get your facts straight big guy.

And in my world "being an adult" doesn't mean fanning the flames of a situation that HAD cooled off. Let it go. It's over. It didn't need your interjection.

Yawn. Again, be the bigger man.

This is a UW hockey thread, lets try and keep the talk about the UW hockey team. Thanks.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

I have to laugh. People ***** when high end talent's like Stepan and Smith leave early and they cry out for more four year players. Out of the other side of their mouth they ***** that there aren't enough high end kids on the team.

I'm just as frustrated as anyone, but holy smokes people.

Wisconsin Hockey: I'll buy you a beer in Pittsburgh next spring

if this refers to me I don't recall *****ing about Stepan or Smith leaving. that's part of the deal when you get the high-end guys. I'm perfectly fine with that model. Give us more Stepans, Smiths, Earls, Pavelski's, that would be gold.

You don't care about board cred, yet you post stats about your civil service, as if that validates you. For all you know, I could have been a former Army Ranger. Does that mean I can say whatever I want? Not really. Kudos to your service, but it's unrelated to how you act on here. Just sayin'.

You're right. It was all his fault. Now you look like the hero to the Badger fans. Congrats - Thumbs Up!

I tell you what, I'm going to be the "bigger man" and try to drop this for the second time.

Just to answer your question then leave it alone..

You brought up your rules, I brought up mine. Thats what happens when discussions take place.

Done.

For the record, Almsy's a great WI fan, and all around good guy. Now I must bathe myself in bleach for saying that. ;)

It was just a general frustration post.

As for the wanting more Stepan's, Smith's, Earl's and Pavelski's...you'll be treated to Zulinick and Kerdiles next season. Kerdiles might be the #1 forward recruit in the country, and Zulinick is the best 17 year old forward in the BCHL.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

Were posted deleted?? Did I miss out on a major **** show because I was not on the Interwebs???
mariucci is banned, and Chuck there is banned but still showing up as online. I've got some intel saying that shibby just got real here a while back.

for one night Old Salty came back apparently. it was a pretty major meltdown there for a minute and I think he was banned for the foul language...Mariucci that is. Not sure if they banned Chuck or not, and to be honest I didn't think how he responded was worthy of a ban at all but maybe they operate under the "it takes two" mantra.

overall the board was more fun when this stuff happened all the time (mainly between Maine/UNH/BC fans), it was a hell of a fun time reading through those but I guess the admins have had enough?

I might agree if it had actually been funny, instead it was just vulgar and personal attacks. For me, that type of thing does not improve the board. The fact that Board temporarily locked the thread and then cleared out ~50 post from a 3 hour window is something that I have never seen before says everything about last night.

I'm sure that Chuck recieved the instigator penalty, hopefully he'll be back in a week or two with a good lesson learned that sometimes it's best to just turn-off the computer and walk away.

yes some of it was vulgar (old salty) but "University of No-Hardware" and the constant back and forth between that guy and the Maine fans was sort of classic.

also the "Free the USCHO 3" bit that went on about 4 years ago was hilarious when Dirty and 2 others were banned.

I guess I find it funny in a South Park way...or perhaps I've got a juvenile sense of humor generally
