Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

2-1 Wisconsin, final. RIT hit the post in the last minute.

Man, we're so bad.

Goodbye Wisconsin, 'till we meet again.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

...that was one hell of an ugly win. after the ugliness of the 1st period last night and 1/2 the 2nd last night and tonight's entire game...i'm thinking wisconsin is 2 recruiting classes away from being a good team realistically. not to be scooby but there it is. they're just not as good as I thought they'd be and I don't know if some of these guys have a high ceiliing...

I was/am also watching the Notre Dame/Minnesota game on btn and caught UW on stream tonight going back and forth and the level of play in the twin cities is/was so much higher than in madison tonight it's just not even the same universe.

this is the 3rd time I've seen notre dame this season and using them as a benchmark I'd say UW is two classes away from *potentially* being that good...ugh

Yeah at least two classes I would say. Definitely not that the team they played is pretty good. How could they be being from Atlantic hockey. Your expert hockey opinion and analytical skills from the couch/seats is remarkable. Maybe we will be blessed with a weekly solivsfett column on the ins and outs of college hockey. What an arrogant dbag you are.

Says the knucklehead *****ting on the UW thread.

Didn't see tonight's game (listened on the radio while watching football), but I was there yesterday. RIT seemed to have plenty of chances, but couldn't convert. They also took bad penalties and made dumb mistakes at times (they had at least 6 offsides last night).

The Badgers should have done better, but they still swept, so I'll take that and look forward to the Purple Cows next weekend.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

I'lltake it for RIT, tigers dominated at times, which was nice to see, but buckys transition really impressed. Another dumb penalty decided this game sadly. A tie would have been nice, but a2-1 decision will do.

Pretty sure Eaves laid into the boys between second and third periods.

Holy chip-on-your-collective-shoulders.

You guys are 10-8. In Atlantic Hockey.

It's not like you came in 16-0.

We played uninspired lethargic hockey for the majority of the weekend. You know how I can tell? I watch this team every week.

That's why you guys hung with us. Talent-wise, we ARE in fact far superior. Get over it and start working on that auto-bid.

If it makes you feel any better, you have a much better chance of making the NCAA's due to you path than us, even though we are much better.

Now go away. We're 3-0 against you just like we should be. I guess I'd be proud of that if it actually mattered.

Oh no, now RIT fans are going to think I'm a jerk.

Batman.

Individual talent-wise, you're right - you're far superior. All that my bros below and I are trying to say, is you guys are playing it off that Wisco. played absolutely horrible hockey and that's the ONLY reason RIT was able to "hang" with you - not that maybe RIT is actually a decent team and played hard against another good team who also played hard.

Anyways, I'm off to sleep, I kinda like you Gurthoman. I see you as that cool old uncle that my parents dont like me hanging around.

Arrogant dbag? I am surprised you have time to frequent the site with all that time you must have to spend making rock related repairs to your glass house.

True.

Holy chip-on-your-shoulder like we shoulder
You sound like my ignant brother. Coincidentally a badger fan.

Now, When you're done and decide to step down from your internet forum soap box, I don't think anyone can argue that UW is superior talentwise, that would be pretty dumb.
While this is clearly not the badgers from the FF meeting in '10, and while it may not have been their best showing, I wouldn't say RIT played their best either, and that's why they play.
Being at the games, my conversations with the apparently less biased fans near me were that The Tigers surprised them with their play. Expectations were likely low considering how you rolled the Hurst.

Big props to the badgers for bringing our Tigers out here. It was a fun weekend regardless.

I'm a bit confused by all this bickering.

Considering RIT is getting votes in the poll and Wisconsin isn't...didn't the Badgers just pull a couple of upsets? Perception was obviously that RIT was the superior team and they just got swept by the 10th place (I think) WCHA team, so it seems everyone has the roles reversed here. RIT for Hobey.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

lol instead of giving RIT credit it's about how badly you played.

what are you talking about? I don't care a lick about RIT. I'm all about UW. and since I am, I'm merely saying I'm not happy with this year's team.

I guess you could say me being down on UW winning ugly means a backhanded slap at the competition. I didn't mean it to sound like that. RIT seems to me to be a **** sound team, well-coached, etc.

UW is not living up to my typical UW expectations (AT ALL) and that's ALL I'm saying.

Heh. Yup. Still a *********. Have fun the rest of the year.

Two home wins, with one of them, at least, as solid home cooking. RIT has nothing to be ashamed about with this weekend's play, that's for sure. It's too bad your fan base has to stoop to calling the visiting team "crappy" and "classless".

I'm glad I'm an RIT fan rather than a Wisconsin fan after this weekend, I'll leave it at that.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

If we do ever play RIT again I'll have to take a week off from reading this forum. I don’t think I have ever seen a higher collective inferiority complex amongst a fan base on here.

Oh come on, you know you'll read this thread every day during the season, regardless of what's said about who and what on it. ;)

Now that the weekends over, we can all go back to our own corners and focus on our teams and hope they make it into the NCAA's where who knows, we might meet again!

Good luck with the rest of your season.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

I think a lot of AHA fans, had they seen it, would be laughing at the "inferiority complex" of RIT fans, considering how RIT has done in AHA play.

I hope that RIT can someday be, as a program, at a level where Wisconsin is. It's clear that while RIT may be closing that gap, there is still a ways to go.

And I'm sure now Badger fans are hoping that RIT gets to be a TUC so that these 2 wins can help them get to the tournament. Looking at the Badger TUC record, these wins would help a couple of comparisons.

Your 10th in the WCHA and will likely miss your second straight Final 5 and NCAA Tournament. Your also having massive attendance issues. Temper the ego a bit.
