I grew up in the Twin Cities. Don't be a twat. Hockey in Minnesota is so much bigger than the gophers that it isn't even funny. ****, high school hockey and park/pond hockey are both much bigger components.

I dont care where you grew up..

If you do not think the Gophs program was the driving force to what MN Hockey is today you have alot to learn.. Tell ya what, since Lou Nanne and Glen Sonmore are still kicking, give them a shout and get back to me.. If thats not enough email John Gilbert, I believe he's relaxing up in Duluth at the moment.. Ask them if what I just posted is accurate or not...

@ The above poster who said they'd just rely more on Canada without the assistance of MN to fill the holes on their roster... There's the difference between a MN and WI hockey fan.. And why Gopher Hockey fans are so proud of their program (often mistaken as arrogant)...

So keep mocking the Gophs and that program, but brush up on the history of MN hockey prior.
