It's easy to forget that college hockey in Madison as we knew it pretty much died, because recruiting news and message board talk is all we'd get college hockey-wise at this time of year anyway. Without blatantly lying, it's very difficult to overstate how far the program fell, and even on this board, I think a lot of you greatly underestimated how much it fell. It really was the meaning of college hockey that changed, not just enthusiasm around the Badgers.

Emberson has yet to be added to the recruiting spreadsheet.

I have added him to the spreadsheet and bumped Stillwell to '17-'18 as that is when I have heard he will be enrolling.

Just got back from my recruiting, errr fishing trip. I have to report that I found no recruits between the Flin Flon airport and Reed Lake Manitoba. Found a lot of Northerns Walleyes and Lake Trout, tho! Timothy would be proud of me.

I cannot wait to see this year's incoming recruits; are we waiting for any players of interest to commit for the next couple years?

Don't know much about him beyond Chicago Mission and selected by Sioux City in the USHL draft: anyone have insight?

Hey! I thought we had a Treaty under which UW agreed to stay away from Manitoba if UND stayed out of Baraboo!

Great job MCR! Did I mention Son #2 caught a 48" ski last month? Of course put him on it with pin point boat control. :) Just out this am with a nephew on Bago pulling boards for eyes, 1 eye, 1 perch, 6 sheep, 10000000000 lake flies

Matt De Saint Phalle...I am getting a tad worried about these 16 yr olds committing......Do they really know what kind of player they are getting at that age? I kinda would like to see a mix of 19 yr old Canadians on the team. Quite a focus on NA HS kids right now.

boy oh boy did Menard's get some potent paint thinner. How about having a >.500 season before winning the Stanley cup.

Don't get me wrong, I am a huge proponent of Sconnie hockey getting back on the tracks. The only way the B10 is ever going to be decent is if everybody in the conference gets better. That means the Gophs, MSU and the trio of teams with tasteless helmets as well.


That said....... your post may be a bit premature.
