Warning: Do NOT tell that to the UNH fans. They celebrate RS titles like you or I would celebrate a national title. No joke.

It appears that Hockey East has their own version of CC then? CC doesn't have much else going for it these days, great regular seasons, followed up by crapping themselves consistently when the word "regular" is changed to "post" before the word "season."

Congrats to BC btw, they came to play saturday night.

Great season for the Badgers, no reason to hang heads after the season they had.

I've gone almost two whole days with that blocked out of my head.

That was really annoying. I stopped trying to figure out why people were getting tossed out of faceoffs. Especially when they'd toss both players out just as soon as they got into the circle. Bizarre.

The linesmen/AR's must have been from Bahstin.

How long do you think it will take before we start getting word on what McD, B Smith, Golo, Gardiner, and Stephan will do?

Is Blake going to sign with Nashville and play for Milwaukee in the AHL playoffs or does he finish up his degree?

I wonder where Mitchell and Davies will end up. Davies will truly be missed. He was a lot of fun to watch over the four years.

From listening to my cousin, Senior this year on the women's team, we are losing basically all the defenders we could have ever hoped would not leave. We will see if that holds true...

Two early departures will be expected
Three would be survivable
Four would be painful but recoverable
Five would be devastating
Six would be catastrophic

I'm prepared to deal with as many as four departures.

Beyond that: I'm freaked.

Why can't we just re-unite tDOTA? When the going get's tough... the tough... get going! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

True, but top to bottom the WCHA is better than the Hockey East no question about it. The Hockey East isn't a bad conference it just isn't great. What blows my mind is how UNH finished ahead of BC. BC was such a better team than UNH. Just shows that the regular season is just a warm up for the games that matter.

Because York cares much less about the RS than the playoffs. Umile probably would talk the talk on that point but he can't walk the walk.

I would think three (B Smith, McDonagh and Stepan) would be on the painful side considering the large number of forwards/offense that graduates this year. Would the offense then resemble the 06-07 and 07-08 teams?

Their will be some major growing pains next year regardless given the forward situation, not losing any more then those 3 would at least give the chance of growing as the season goes and making a run in the post-season.

I'll believe it when I see it. IMO, its way too early to know for sure who will leave and who will stay.
If they leave, so be it. Eaves and the rest of the coaching staff will simply rebuild the team and the Badgers will be back.

Andy Baggot was on Lucas & Lapay Monday morning. He mentioned that it's no secret the NHL is Oz' goal. He also said that the Ohio State job was on the table (no secret), but Oz had stiff competition for that one. I'd really hate to see him go there. We'll see.

As was posted, the loss of 2 coaches would be devastating

ASO to Boston College's band at the hockey game. "Viva la Vida" and "Every Time We Touch"? Seriously? Are you a band representing a university or a bunch of drunk sorority girls at karaoke night? SO to this just reinforcing how awesome our band is.

ASO to Bucky for losing to the coasties. How could you?! Do you know how much harder you've made it to try to convince them that they're just normal human beings?

SO to waking up at 7am Saturday to drive to Detroit, rolling into the city blasting badger tunes with the windows down, sending the team off with the band, getting our picture with Phil, rocking some mad 'staches during the game, time warping while being surrounded by Michigan fans, and driving straight through the night back to Madison after the game. DSO to proving that, despite the loss, Badger hockey is one of the greatest traditions in college sports. Thanks for a great season, boys. See you in October.

ASO to going to Detroit to watch the Badgers get blown out. SO to shot-gunning a beer afterward with a 60-year-old Badger fan at Chris Chelios's bar. Win or lose, we still booze. On Wisconsin!

actually i was told to check the wisconsin threads out by some wisco fans ive hung out with the past 3 frozen fours but was surprised to find a thread entitled "if it makes u feel any better... bc's band sucks".... REALLY?.... it's college most bands suck..... does it make u feel better???.... and like i said, at least they had a reason to play.
