Wisconsin Hockey Part 3: Just win, baby!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Part 3: Just win, baby!

I checked the program guide on my cable box last night and FS-Wisconsin will at the very least be showing the Badgers play this afternoon. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can get out of work to watch it, but have the DVR set to record it in case.

FSN North has every game "featuring" Frank & Doug. I'm pretty sure it's on all satellite & cable companies. DISH 436 (SD). Direct Tv ?

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Part 3: Just win, baby!

Yeah, I don't have Dish or Direct TV, I'm stuck with a crappy, expensive cable plan for the time being and have a pretty limited selection of sports options, which blows.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Part 3: Just win, baby!

Do they have the larger audience in Madison though? They already program FSNWi out of Minneapolis and split the feed for WI for UW events. Why can't they split it for Madison and Milwaukee?

That sounds like a good business idea. Should I provide you the FSN email contact? I completely agree.

FINALLY! DISH PROVIDES SOMETHING RELATED TO BADGER HOCKEY THAT CHARTER/CABLE DOESN'T. I THINK I MIGHT GO CRY.

I am to lazy to look back if its already been posted, but where can I listen or watch today's game on the internet for free?

justin.tv is your best chance at getting it online. I'm pretty St. Cloud has a free radio feed online as well.

This team will only be dangerous when they find the sense of urgency for the entire game that they have in the last 5 minutes. I guess playing for the WCHA playoff title really didn't interest them.

Really weird drought for you guys at the Final Five. I've always been of the mindset that if you have an opportunity at a banner you take it. You never know what's going to happen in the NCAA's.

Couldn't agree more.

What a waste of time.

I agree. And I always notice it in regular games as well. When they get a two goal lead they start to sleepwalk and let the other team back in the game. Then when the other team ties it up, they start hustling again.
This is the 2nd year in a row that the Badgers have come out lethargic and shutout in the Friday afternoon game. Leadership was a problem last year and it might be again this year.

I 3rd that. It's like they think the season is over and they're just finishing out the string like a team out of the playoffs would.

Right now there's too many alibi's and there will be regrets. They already coughed up a chance to kick the rodents in the *** and win the season series, now they puked up a chance at some hardware. The Seniors have to realize this is IT. There's no going back. Now freaking play like it and kick the crap out of DU.

thank you. Leadership....ding, ding, ding.

For all the talk of Captain ***-kicker, do you really see Geoffrion motivating players like Burish did? Like some of the guys on the 90's teams?

No you don't. Geoffrion is a great college hockey player and so are the other captains but they're not leaders. They're great college players and hopefully pro players someday.

Burish, McMurchy, Licari, you see it early when a guy can elevate from good or great player to great leader.

the frosh in Burish's class said it all in their freshman seasons when they marched up to Eaves office to support him. In the face of lazy seniors and juniors, and smart-*** Leavitt, they banded together and stood up for a coach they believed in.

I knew then that group was capable of great things.

the current group hasn't moved me to feel the same way.

on another note

I hope they can win tomorrow so they don't slide into the NCAA's on a 3-game losing streak but DU is UW's biggest problem in the WCHA lately.
