Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

Thoughts from attending the game:
Defensive core looked pretty good, without Hensler (don't think he has any serious injury, Hastings mentioned sitting a few guys who were bruised up). Lots more defensive involvement in the offensive zone as well. Luke Osburn specifically looked great I thought. Eli Pulver was good, Castro didn't get tested at all.

Also paid close attention to the freshmen forwards specifically, some bright spots were Idzan overall, as well as Zelenov and Montgomery's goals. They're still settling in a bit, but if they continue producing like they have so far that would be huge.

Around the B10: crazy that Penn State and MSU lost, and BC is up by 1 on Minnesota entering the third.

B7 needs to win nonconference games if we have hope of getting more teams in the NCAA. Because conference is going to be a slaughterhouse. So as much as I love to see PSU, MSU and Goofs all lose, it's not good for the conference.
 
Don’t think the gophers are going to score a lot of goals this year. They are going to be stuck trying to win a ton of 2-1 and 3-2 games. I would have preferred they beat BC. Excuse me while I go wash my mouth with soap…

As a Wild fan, I do try to watch MSU when I can to see how Stramel is doing (2gp 3pts). They looked back to normal last night. Dominated UNH.

Side note: These forums have been pretty unusable on safari (iPhone) due to the invasive ads. Had the “Brave” browser recommended to me, as it has an ad blocker, and it works great!! Highly recommend it :)
 
Any doubt left that Fickell should be fired? Hope that the people who usually spend their money on football tickets choose to spend their money on a winning product (men’s/women’s hockey, volleyball, etc).

The season is lost, recruits are bailing and the buyout is high... Who the heck signed off on that buyout schedule... oh that's right the other guy who should be fired.

It's over if you listened to his press conference. He doesn't know what to do. It's just a matter of time.

But, need to fire Mac first. He cannot pick the next coach. Between the track and field practice debacle, hall of fame / bricks debacle, women's BB coach, women's CC coach, and football, he's more than screwed up enough. Fire everybody.

Unfortunately, there are rumblings that several of the big money alumni like Mac, and Mnookin appears to not want to do anything. It's a disaster and no matter your feelings on football, a successful football program feeds the rest of the athletic dept.

He also screwed up women's hockey by going to reserved seating in sections 3-5, displacing 100's of loyal and fervent fans of where they have been sitting for years. It was like breaking up families. Sad. Then, as a side note, they must not have sold enough reserved seating, so section 5 is not reserved, but they notified no one of the change. And there is a constant stream of people going into 3 and 4 not knowing it's reserved and the 2 ushers at the top of the stairs just stand there and do absolute nothing. Complete incomitance.

27.5 point underdog at home. I wonder if there is a prop bet on if they use their timeouts? Hopefully the men's hockey team can sweep Mankato.
