Wisconsin Hockey 25-26 Hastings Year 3 - Turning the Corner?

I think to many people are forgetting where this team was a short time ago. This team has played some pretty good hockey this year, but I believe they are still missing a couple pieces. Missing some of your best players to tournaments hurt them bad Monday night.

That being said, I think Hastings is a year or two ahead of schedule as far as the rebuild of this program is concerned
Give a guy like Montgomery time to fill out with some muscle and he's not gonna get moved off the puck like happens this year.

Todd also mentioned the possibility of Fitzgerald moving back to center - quite frankly I really hope they don't do that. He's already just two points shy of last years point totals, playing on the wing has led to a lot of offense. I feel like it makes more sense to keep the first line as Finley Morrissey Fitzgerald, and second line could just be Botterill/Montgomery Tulk Tassy.

My interpretation of the tweet was that they initially suspected it to be longer than day-to-day, and they will go forward based on a reevaluation today.

Regardless hopefully he could be back sometime in February, maybe even sooner?

I would tend to agree with your interpretation. Watching it live, and the way he reacted immediately I feared it could had been a fracture or something really bad. I had a small bit of relief when they allowed him to get up. Hopefully, the injury isnt to bad and he is back for an end of year run.

The structure and pursuit of sustainable success from Hastings is top tier. It’s incredible how far this program has come in just a few short years.

Holy crap, is Nick Kempf the best goalie that Team USA could find for the WJC? He’s had two underwhelming years at Notre Dame (save % under .900 and GAA above 3.50) and it’s hard to believe that he’s the best they could dig up?
