4 goals given up on 19 shots against is not going to cut it. I would not be surprised to see Gramme in net tomorrow.
[I said:digitalbooya;n3898479]If you look down the stat sheet, they did a lot of good things.
Outshot them 36-19
Outshot attempted them 77-32
Took fewer penalties
Won 34 of 51 faceoffs (66.67%)
They just need some scoring touch and some better goaltending.[/I]

These are must-win games. We can only hope it was an anomaly.

Gramme should be the starter. Scarfone didn’t face tough competition with RIT. He’s in a big-boy league now and he looked weak against a nothingburger opponent.
denver will be a real eye opener for this kid if he plays against them.
Well, I won’t tune in tomorrow. What a garbage loss.
this Mickey Mouse team Lindenwood would NEVER be able to do this at Denver, Nodak, Minnesota.
but Wisconsin? Well,…I try to be optimistic a d I like Hastings but the constant losing since Eaves’s final 2 seasons has worn me out. 3 good seasons in 10 years.
Jeez, we made the ncaa's last year. Way to give up on the boys. It's a marathon, not a race. One loss wipes out all the positives we saw out of a Hastings coached team?
Not giving up, but damn sick of this losing to teams they should be smoking. Having 7 terrible seasons in 10 years has me ****ed off still.
they barely salvaged a win Saturday agains a team they should have beaten 7-1.
like I said earlier, I like Hastings and think he’s the right guy for the job but I have 0 patience for the crap I saw this weekend. The cupboard was bare for Fickell/Longo/Tressel and I think they deserve 4 full seasons to rebuild. Hastings, however, had a full cupboard. I want to see Wisconsin play like the blue blood they are supposed to be. Coming out on fire and smoking teams like this.
All those “me first” players left, remember?
I’d like to see Hensler and a few others play better in the defensive own zone. Bobbled pucks a number of times and took too long to make decisions. The book is out on the badger defense: pressure them early and often and they will make mistakes. It was the same thing last year in the second half.
The defense should be carrying this team while the forwards learn to play together. Shots against were low, but a lot of goals given up were due to stupid mistakes and bad decisions.
I expect much better play this weekend. Learn to pass the puck and play as a unit.
