Sucktastic lack of actual television aside, anyone have thoughts on the BTN web stream? Worth the $2.99? The internet goes in and out a bit at the parents house but has been working just well enough I might try it since they say 1310 doesn't come in for **** out here. (We're not even that far in the boonies! But they've got Cricket wireless internet and you have to sit in the corner of the house facing towards I-94 to get it since it just runs along the interstate corridor in Jefferson County.)

I've heard it's spotty, that's second hand info though, I have yet to try it for myself.

I'm sure you've probably seen this, but this is the radio affiliate list.

I have no idea where you are in Jefferson county, but maybe you could pick up 940 out of Ft. Atkinson?

And they don't want to go to the trouble and costs of getting those rights because it wouldn't be cost effective (i.e. more profitable then their other options).

That just might work! As of now, it comes in tolerably! Thank you! My parents said they didn't get the games on radio out here and it never occured to me to doublecheck the affiliate list for something closer than Madison. We'll see if it comes in ok throughout the game, but this is potentially GREAT.

(Given the frequent quality issues and that I don't mind listening to games on the radio, I am often reluctant to pay for an internet feed if I can just listen to the game on the actual radio for free.)

Hope it worked for you. I'm home as well; I thought I had latched on to the 107.5 Green Bay affiliate, but the list was off apparently, as it was just playing some NFL talk show.

I watched the game on the BTN web stream for $3 with Charter high speed. I hooked it to the TV with the S-Video cable and it was pretty decent. A little choppy here and there, but i thought definetely worth the $3 and i'm going to do it again tommorrow for the Michigan game.

It's the BTN so who knows. Great game tonight, though. The Badgers move up to 8th in the PWR just from tonight's win. That shows how big it was. At least if we don't make the NCAA's this year, we can't blame it on the "less important" non conference games.

The BTN, Alvarez, and everyone else involved don't give a **** about hockey. It's a fact. I REALLY MISS Pat Richter now.

The day the BTN shows a LIVE UW hockey game will be the day NCAA Football, and Roundball decide to start their seasons in July and end in August.....oh, and even then.....I doubt it.

Hey. At least they showed the highlights of the game on their stupid highlights show. That first Smith goal was pretty sweet. I didn't realize that the MSU goalie got caught outside the net on the 3rd goal. Sweet. The funny part is that the BTN has like 5 alternate channels that they could have put the game on. What a waste.

Hopefully Gardiner is ok. We might not see him tomorrow night.

But the Badgers came up with answers when they needed them. Comley said a lot of that stems from an eye-catching defensive corps, which utilized five for most of the game because sophomore Jake Gardiner suffered an undisclosed injury in the first and didn't skate the rest of the game, though he was on the bench. Eaves said he didn't know whether Gardiner would be available to play the Wolverines tonight in Ann Arbor, Mich.

"They're a hard team to play against because their defensemen are outstanding," Comley said. "They skate really well. They're really good.

No ****. All those alternate extra channels. Suck it up, spend a couple grand on the personnel to do the telecasts, sell some advertising, just a little, and they make a bit of money. It is totally ridiculous. :mad: :mad:

Except for the fact that they didn't have the rights to broadcast the game and didn't want to pay for acquiring those rights. Without those rights they couldn't show the game, it just adds added costs that make it even more uneconomical to make a live hockey broadcast.
