Wisconsin Badgers @ UND Hawk Fighting Nodak Riders (11-6 & 11-7)

Re: Wisconsin Badgers @ UND Hawk Fighting Nodak Riders (11-6 & 11-7)

Dood! I had a couple 2-3 tall boys of thinner and some shots, did Wisconsin really win last night? ;)

You guys are even jerks when you're sober.

Life is just so unfair.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers @ UND Hawk Fighting Nodak Riders (11-6 & 11-7)

Caggiulla back in tonight which will probably mean that Bucky's top line will not have their way with UND's top criminals the way they did last night. A wake up call for UND can be dangerous, but so can some growing confidence for Bucky. Still the same drill though. Badgers can't turn it over at their own Blue line (just like on UND's goal last night) or have the 10 second own zone meltdowns that they're prone to. They could get crushed. But if the D can hold up and get it out, this could turn into a real war tonight. Shouldn't be any other way, of course.

Hat's off to Jurusic for making some big saves to preserve things last night. Also how big was Cavalinni getting to the net to create that scoring chance? He can hardly skate but no one can question his heart. Huge lift for the whole program from a guy that's been a healthy scratch.

Also, Paddy Sexton is a real diamond in the rough.

Screw Sue. Let's Go Red.

Funny.....Dreamt UW won 3-1 Friday. Must be the thinner.

Sioux should bring back alumni for tonight's game and have a ceremonial lawn mower toss. Need to limit the moon shine so they don't urinate in the elevator.

:p

Edit: I miss the 80-00 WCHA

Pity win.

Bring back Cary Eades! I think he could use a good water bottle squirt to the face.

Or how about the 81-82 Badgers reunite in grand forks tonight and crash the party:)

Why is it that desperate fans always claim their team lost because it really wasn't their team playing?

Face it: UW is better than you thought, and UND is not as good as you thought.
True that.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers @ UND Hawk Fighting Nodak Riders (11-6 & 11-7)

Nice work last night Sue. All in all this was probably a good weekend for both teams. Badgers finally grabbed a little respect for themselves Friday and you guys bounced back after a wake up call and really poured on the pressure in a game you had to have. (In the sense that there aren't enough tall buildings in GF to accommodate all the jumpers if the Badgers had swept.) Obviously with the all the pipes it could have been much worse early, but it's a well known fact that God loves Badgers and hates Nodaks.

Too bad we won't see you back at the KC for two years yet, but on the bright side, there are enough young players on both these teams that they'll be around to remember this one and carry on the tradition. Also it's extremely likely you'll have another even more terrible nickname by then to make fun of. As always, thanks for the memories and **** each and every one of you.

It think it probably was good for both teams. UND isn't as good as its record indicates (yet), and all those freshmen needed to understand that. The Badgers definitely have some potential. Those young guys seem to be leaning where each other are on the ice. Besse's a grizzled old vet, for that team, but his goal last night was an example of how scary they could be. Thank Parise Boeser didn't go to the dark side.

I don't think we can count on many of these young guns being around two or three years from now. Nice as it would be to have the UW gifts, Boeser and Schmaltz, back for the Madison series, I think they will be gone. Schmaltz for sure, and I can't see Boeser staying for 3. Kunin will be gone. But there will be others like them--there always are.

Sorry about the good weekend for you guys and how it complicates the whole coaching situation.

This weekend could not have been any worse for UND and friday wisco won it's version of the national title... 'nuff said. Now go lick a deer you paint thinner drinking hicks. ;) Oh, and maybe beat up on that crappy goofer team a bit this year.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers @ UND Hawk Fighting Nodak Riders (11-6 & 11-7)

This weekend could not have been any worse for UW as well. Barry "I'm not a hockey guy" Alvarez may retain Eaves as coach based on Friday's win alone.

Pleasantly surprised over this weekend. Friday night I literally started coughing at a restaurant in Louisville while downing a beer and looking up the score on my phone. :o

I came home from softball and tossed a chunk on my computer.

With Strand and JB both getting a 2 year contract to turn the badgers around there was a zero percent chance of eaves getting fired this year. Eaves will be here at least 1 more year guaranteed.
