I was darn excited to see the game on TV until Bug10 network fumbles. Go to Fox one and pay for it, no thank you.
I'll certainly tip my cap to Di Pasquo...but yeah...definitely could have easily been 4-1 or 4-2. But this is what makes puck luck...well, puck luck.Honestly, this game should’ve been 4-1 Wisco. Zero scoring touch.
If he would have been put head first into the boards, then absolutely. He went in parallel. It def was a penalty for boarding, but the end result wasn't a safety disaster, and that's what should make the difference between a 2 min boarding call and a 5 min major, much less a game misconduct. Not to be the asshole blaming the refs, but maybe a soft 5 minute major and ejection for Deering.
With that being said, I can’t blame the refs for erring on the side of safety after last weekend, and I’m glad Whipple wasn’t hurt from the play.
Yeah there should have been delay of game. He clearly flung his mask off. When Di Pasquo's helmet "fell off" last night, it appeared to me the shot hit him square in the mask and the puck rebounded out...and then he flipped his mask off on purpose to get a whistle.
Anyone else catch that?
That's what I thought! I jumped at the TV yelling, "hey you can't do that!"Yeah there should have been delay of game. He clearly flung his mask off.
Having Freshman being steely-eyed and all in while also seriously contributing is a pretty massive step. It's a fever dream when the players coach themselves to the standard set by the staff.Game day!
Take it away Carl!

Let’s go Badgers!
Anyone else notice Mike Hastings on the bench Thursday night? He was the calmest I’ve seen him so far. Almost zen-like. The players were talking to each other on the benches like they were mini-Hastings. It was just a joy to watch. The game and entire season thus far has been a real example of what happens when you have a talented roster, great coach and all the players and coaches are bought in!
And you can see why Adam Burish and the 06 guys (and other alumni like Steve Alley) are so supportive of Hastings.
