Word on the street is there will be a Badger Tailgate Saturday in Lot 91 starting at 11. Bring your own thinner!

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2017-2018

Now that I have seen co-operation between Gopher Fans and Badger fans, maybe there is hope for co-operation between the USA and N Korea.

maybe you want to edit out the rolled eyes?

it will be interesting to see how the liberal hysteria deals with a Rocket Man/Trump summit, I can see the headlines now:

"Trump conspires with Rocket Man to steal 2020 election"

Well, at least with Trump around the left has lightened up on George W lately and I haven't heard poor, long dead Herbert Hoover trashed by them in years. I bought a pumper sticker a few years ago at the Eisenhower museum in Abilene, Kansas that reads: I Miss Ike, Hell, I Even Miss Harry. Harry, a great President and good friend and travelling buddy of Herbert Hoover by the way.

Don't think any of them followed much hockey though, just to get out of the "dirty area" and back on "point".

Point is a D3 school. :)

No it isn’t, in WI itsa beer.

More likely though the Dayton’s Bluff Rink Rat (former Guvna?) was probably referring to Zumwinkle blasting one off of a Badger, which reminded me of Bozek’s slappa on Poulin in the ’13 FF that put her out for a few minutes. Maybe she can give the same Badger matching bruises.

And a good beer it is! XYZ brought me some (along with PBR) when I first met him a few years back in Duluth.

For those who are spending the evening in Madison a reminder that they violate Wisconsin's nature & require off-sale to end at 9:00!! Made it hard to celebrate the last time we were there. TA, huff some for me. Win or lose I expect it will be the sort of game that results in a lot of people needing a good stiff drink!

They make up for it by selling beer in both Unions, and if you want the hard stuff even a blind guy could find it on State Street. An FYI, if you need to kill time tour Capital Brewery, officially $7 gets you a sample of 4 of their brews, and as far as I can tell they also give out a free pint of whatever they are currently brewing and you get to keep the glass, I suggest their Pilsner which is as good as any you will find.
If you are into ice cream pass on all the joints you see in MadCity and go to the Union or get it from the source at Babcock, Mocha Macchiato …..mmmmmm

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2017-2018

Shaver is confirmed to be back for tomorrow. I sure hope MJ doesn't regret not playing her last weekend to try and eliminated the rodents 1 week sooner so UW could have got a cupcake tomorrow. It's going to be a National Title atmosphere game for a quarterfinal game.

Is the rodent band playing the real band or a bunch of middleschoolers impersonating the rodent band like the past quarterfinal opponents have done? I suppose middleschoolers will sound better than the real deal, so I'll know at that point.

I sure hope the crowd is loose and loud and not tense and quiet.

I think getting Shaver back is really big. The strength of this years Badger team is its depth. Getting her back allows Mauermann to go back to her spot on the Cogan line where she has had so much success this season. For the first time in about 2 months this team will have the top 3 lines in tact. And the fact that Gardner is yet another week removed from getting her cast off will be a huge plus on the back end. The game not having any TV timeouts should help too. The Gophers benefitted greatly from this last week as their bench was shortened quite a bit during the second half of the game.

I agree that the atmosphere at LaBahn should be electric! I am expecting a really hard fought battle by 2 of the best teams in the country!-- should be fun!

Point's a lot better beer today than it was back in the late 60's. Although as a poor college student back then I'd usually buy 3 cases of Pfeiffer's in Mendota at $2.50 a case on my way south to school. If someone else was buying I'd get PBR.

Excellent suggestion. While visiting my wife's nephew in Black River Falls last summer he introduced me to the Capital Brewery beers. I really liked their Amber American Lager, but the others were very good, too.

If you're visiting BRF again, you should check out Sand Creek Brewing. I'm quite fond of their Oscars Chocolate Stout - although that might be because it really was one of the first craft beers I remember drinking, 15-20 years ago before craft beer was really a thing.

You would have gotten Ohio State. Decide for yourself whether or not they are a cupcake.
