You might also check Universal Sports - since NBC owns it, they've been showing replays of other NBC HD sports telecasts during dead air times. They regularly replay Notre Dame football games and I know they've replayed past Winter Classic games there.

Do a straight up doubleheader. Islanders-Devils in the early game, with the Rangers taking on either Toronto or Montreal in the nightcap. Hell, if you really want to get crazy, make it a triple-header with bringing in Ottawa, and have the three NYC area teams taking on the Canadians. The Canucks would come out in droves for an event like that, and would drop a lot of very nice tourists dollars into the area, along with probably staying for all 3 games as well.

An even crazier thought I had here, to totally sweeten the pot and get the Canadian tourists dollars into NYC. Make the triple header count for something, say whatever combined side scores the most goals, the Canadians vs the NYC teams over the three games, that would decided where the NHL decides to say relocate a franchise to. The Canadian sides score the most goals, then say the Coyotes go back to Winnipeg or Hamilton perhaps, Toronto will probably push for them to be in Winnipeg in this deal. The 3 NYC squads puts more biscuits in the baskets, Hello Kansas City Scouts!! And if somehow they manage to tie everything up at the end of 3 games, then well, best of 9 shootout, with 3 guys from each squad facing one of the three goalies from the other squads. The 3 Head Coaches will have to get together and figure out how they want put the order, and because of this possibility, the other 4 teams would have to hang around all day for the third game.

In case anyone else missed it, NHL Network is replaying the Winter Classic on Sunday at 4:30 pm eastern.

I will bet right now I will be the only person in Wisconsin that watches that particular broadcast, as I believe there is some sort of football game at that time.

I hope they do "24/7" again for next year's game. I thought it was very well done, and it was nice to get a glimpse into parts of the game we don't normally see.

please somebody tell me this is going to be available on DVD or a non-HBO channel. otherwise I may sign up for HBO just to get it On Demand, and then cancel it after I watch.

edit: does anyone know if the On Demand version is censored?

edit2: just saw that HBO2 is replaying the whole series tomorrow afternoon (but that would be the censored version, right?)

Yes, I think they only play it uncensored after 10 PM. I think HBO has put the episodes up on youtube also (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt6Aqf--DP8)

Thanks. The On Demand version is listed as being rated MA - not sure if that means it is uncensored. Regardless, I will be calling my cable company later to get HBO for a month (not really set up for prolonged TV watching on my computer at home - I'd rather pay the money).
