there's a good buck in that racket.
Agree on Three Billboards. Had high expectations, and they were met.
From start to end it was at its peak and never dipped.

Academy politics.
Why do you say that?
Watched Three Billboards outside of Ebbing, Missouri tonight.
That movie got robbed for best picture. Between it and Dunkirk they blew Shape of Water out of he water. I will never understand how Shape won.
Everything about Three Billboards was almost perfect. It’s peak cinema.
Question: have you seen these films and what are your thoughts on them if you’ve seen em?
Saboteur by Hitchcock.
The Package, 1989 film with Gene Hackman and Tommy Lee Jones.
I’ll have to check out that one.
But completely agree on Three Billboards. At the end I kept wanting a fade to black thinking, if this movie goes ten minutes longer it’s going to be ruined. Was extremely happy they ended it when and how they did.
The Departed could have been infinitely better if they ended the movie ten minutes earlier.
I have seen The Package. It is enjoyable but never felt the need to go out of my way to watch it again. If I see it on though I keep it on.
Saboteur by Hitchcock.
Saboteur is a mid level Hitchcock film. Not one of his best. Not one of his worst. In the middle. Worth watching as there are some interesting things in there he'll use later in North By Northwest.
