I was working at Shinder's when that issue came out (if it's the one I'm thinking of). Bought a few copies, waited a couple weeks, made huge bank (tripled my money), and then a couple months later, the prices plummeted.

I have the same thoughts going into it, was going to wait for a Netflix release, and you are re-affirming my decision.
The Force
Documentary, following the Oakland Police Department for 2 years. A few screen stats/info shots, not many. Mostly just footage, "Cops" style, to tell the narrative. I won't say too much, as I'd rather have people watch this and judge for themselves. I will say it burns both blue and non-blue. A bit of WTeFF for both sides of the argument, and a bit of "I agree" for both sides of the argument; mostly the former part of that statement. Definitely recommend.

Went to see dark water, but the newspaper had all the times wrong, so instead got a ticket for midnight man not knowing what the f it was. Turns out it’s a scary movie.

Original was better. It was also in Kuwait so thankfully the scene when the wife dies and daughter put in a coma were cut. Always thought the original was a bit over the top. Especially considering it was the 1970s. Though Jeff goldblum played a great rapists. Also now that mookie thinks about it Kersey may have shot 1 colored kid max (might be zero. Majority white and the rest almost rican)
Hate remakes. Go and write a new story for crying out loud. There were some new adds and twists, but really same movie.
