Get the Pulse dvd. It would look great on your big screen.

So much eye candy in terms of the light show.

I remember seeing the Pulse special when it aired (IIRC, it was PPV). Way cool, as I was just really getting into Floyd at that point. Yeah yeah, I know. :o
Probably will add the DVD to the long list I have for future purchases.

The dvd does a great job of capturing the enormity and magnitude of the light show. Lots of pan shots to show it all.

Turn out the lights, put it on the big screen and blast the stereo.

Incredible... :)

Got rid of my stereo a few years ago when I got this apt. Can't crank it, so it was overkill (500W just isn't useful for a 1BR apt :( )

How did I not hear about The Asteroids Galaxy Tour years ago? Love both of their albums. At first Mette's voice is weird, but I came around to it very quickly and now adore it. Very cool grooves reminiscent of the 60's and 70's. I'll always dig artists that use big soaring horn riffs.

Clapton - Crossroads Festival 6/6/04

Last evening's performance made me want to hear more.

Are they really any good? Or just marketing?

Several of my son's bantam teammates have them and I checked them out. I wasn't impressed to the tune of $400.

Then again, was listening to an mp3 through an iPod.

My kid thinks he needs them. I told him to start saving coz there's no way I'm dropping that kind of money on headphones.

They cost that much? Kee-rist. Just get some AKG's or Sennheisers.

I bought the Bose SoundLink (Bluetooth) Mobile speaker. Wireless and portable. Can connect with the iPhone, iPad or laptop.

I think you can get the original "base" model for $230 or so, but still...yeah. Plus, I suspect they're tuned for super-bass heavy, clubby rap stuff, which my inner rocker/metalhead mostly scoffs at. I've had a $25 pair of Sennheisers since my freshman year of college that are just fine to my ears, and extremely comfortable.

Listening to Rush as to celebrate their long overdue entry in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. GLM must be smiling somewhere.

Are you impressed, for the price? I'm looking for something like this. I'd like something I can move around.

Although after reading about it, the SoundLink Air digital music system may be more what I want.

In my not so humble estimation, stay away, far away, from anything Bose. There's better stuff out there, and probably for less.

As for music, not my playlist, but been spending a lot of time checking out Youtube clips from this show. Remember watching this when MTV first broadcast this back in the day. For a 2-3 year period, these guys were one of my favorite bands. Saw them play three times in that span.

For a few hours here, I was 25 again. And Telecasters!!!

I am impressed with the product. I am not sure how this compares to other Bluetooth speakers in both quality and price though. I have never been let down with Bose.

We have a 3500 sq ft home. We have the speaker set up in our kitchen and play music on that more than anything and the quality is superb for the size of the speaker. The portability function of the speaker is a bonus.

Simple Minds - Live in the City of Lights

Haven't listened to this in several years. Love it!

When Simple Minds were almost U2.

Warrant - Dog Eat Dog

Laugh all you want, this is actually pretty solid and offers impressive musical variety for a hair band; haters can suck it. "Machine Gun", "Bonfire", "All My Bridges Are Burning", and "Sad Theresa" are the obvious singles, while "Andy Warhol Was Right" is the most blatant attempt at mock-grunge mediocrity. However if, like me, you dig both sides of the Great 1991 Fence, I'll be damned if this doesn't at least qualify as 'listenable' from start to finish.
