Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

Back to being a Deadhead this week.

Listening to the Spring 1990 Box Set that they just put out. Been at it for a few days now.

6 complete shows from the Spring 1990 tour. I think I'm on #5.

Great stuff that's taking me back... :)

Further Seems Forever: the Moon is Down

Easily the best FSF album, and Chris Carraba did his best work with them before splitting into Dashboard Confessional.

Cloud Cult- The Meaning of 8
Switchfoot- The Beautiful Letdown and Hello Hurricane
Casting Crowns- Self-Titled

Rebelution - Bright Side of Life

Total ear candy. :)

The Ocean Blue - Cerulean

I've never heard of many (most of them minus the Beasties) of these bands, I must have never ventured outside my comfort zone.

It's funny, but I have a crap-ton of music and I haven't heard of half the stuff that some of these folks mention.

But I have checked out many of those and now have a few new bands...

I will have to check a few out myself. Admittedly though, I am kind of stuck in the "classic" rock\hard rock\metal genre's so we'll see. :)

I also have a crap-ton of music, and have heard of some of the artists mentioned, but not a lot.

I think with the I Heart Radio thing on my Kindle, and am browsing stations, I'll find more artists I never heard of, and will hope to expand my musical tastes even more.

I also have a crap-ton of music, thanks to musician friends of mine. If I need something burned, they'll get it for me.

Listening to "Urban Hymns" by the Verve. "Lucky Man" might be overplayed, but the record is still dynamite.

Following a 1 degree of separation path today...

Started with Dire Straights - Live at the BBC

Went to Gram Parsons - Grevious Angel (Emmylou Harris did an album with Mark Knopfler and was with Gram while he was a solo artist)

Now doing the Rolling Stones - Beggar's Banquet (Gram was famously good buds with Keith Richards for a time and appeared as a backup singer on one song from Exile on Main St.)

Next up is either Bowie or the Faces. Can't think of any other Stones connections although I could do the Dead as they also appeared at Altamont. Or could go the Verve as the Stones famously castrated them over Bittersweet Symphony. Got about 7 songs to think about it...
