Martin Zeller - Live From the Mercury Lounge
I saw that guy in concert one time in Woodbury. The guy was a real prima donna, didn't show up until an hour after he was scheduled to be on stage and then only played for a little more than an hour. I don't know if he's still doing them, but the one I attended with a group of friends was one of the Neil Diamond tribute shows he regularly schedule. I should have known by the suggested show, the guy who talked the rest of us into attended ended up kissing me. Like the show, that didn't go over well.

And it's official: I've become old. I'm listening to KQRS (classic rock station, for those of you not familiar) and Collective Soul's Shine is on again. It's been getting regular play these past few weeks.

Don't know him personally and haven't seen him live since about 95 or so. Always seemed pretty down to earth though. Maybe a bad night for him or maybe he's an ***. Who knows?

Today, I am enjoying Metallica - Live ****, Binge and Purge

A new song that I am absolutely loving is Cowboys and Angels by Dustin Lynch, it's really a great song. I'm also really liking Somethin' 'bout a Truck by Kip Moore.

Jayhawks - Blue Earth, Hollywood Town Hall, Rainy Day Music & Tomorrow - Set to shuffle

They're in town tonight although I'm passing on it.

Saw Olson & Louris when they were touring together about 5 years ago and it was great. Probably should be going, but I've gotten old, complacent and lazy and can't be bothered.

I'm actually watching Yes - 9012LIVE.

This was an awesome tour at the time.

I prefer the classic lineup, but the Trooper at the end of this show will melt your face.

It's hell getting old. You sound like you've been into tunes for a long time. Just knowing the Stones album Flowers give you cred with me. I've been listening to Rock since the fifties. You sound like you have followed a similar path. I've gone more roots rock and blues over the years. For blues rock guitar it istough to beat Gary Moore and Jimmy Thackery.

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

This is the thread that goes on forever. Everyones list will be different and if most music lovers are like me, today's list will look nothing like next years, or last years. God it's fun to talk about though. Music and hockey, the debate never ends.

I'm with you. Very good live.
Sir, reply with quote button, not simply the reply button, that will give your posts on this board they so desperately need. Because right now you're reading like the guy in the grocery store who's having trouble discerning between ketchup and catsup.

Thanks for the tips on the blues guitarists, though. That should prove helpful for someone like me who's relatively new at venturing into blues music.

Sorry about that. New to the forum. Thanks

The Decemberists - a few albums set to shuffle

Good Monday morning, get back into the flow stuff.

I discovered The Decemberists just a couple of years ago. Think Colin Meloy is very good at what he writes and produces. They've had a string of excellent albums. Finally saw them in early 2011 and was amazed at the diversity in ages at the concert (I'm in my 50s). They must have quite a widespread demographic. I'm curious to see what's up next after _The King is Dead_ and the recent EP _Long Live the King_. I've heard they're going to be on hiatus for a while--not sure if that was fact or fiction. I do know he's a writer "writer of fictions" and may be taking time out to explore that area of his life.

They've got a live album coming out within the next month.

I like where they're at now more than the earlier stuff, but all of it is good.
