Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

1. Chicago Transit Authority - most all tracks (Chicago's first album)

2. Procol Harum - "Whiter Shade of Pale"

3. Led Zep - "Stairway to Heaven

4. Simon & Garfunkel - "Bridge Over Troubled Waters"

5. Bob Dylan - "Tamborine Man"

From what I have heard, KR has gone the Seger route with his songs as of late, although I haven't heard his newer stuff.

He definitely has. "Born Free" is tolerable. :p Also, the song he did with Slash a few years ago was the biggest pleasant surprise on Slash's first solo album.

Now Seger, I was never a huge fan, but I can listen to his hits.

Not that it is specific to anything I was listening to, but I finally completed loading all of my boots to an external hard drive - over 700 gigs of live boots. Unfortunately, there are some pretty scary concerts there, some great ones, but some are ***.

I was never a KR fan, but I've got several cuts from Rebel Soul in my library.

Now Seger, I can listen to him all day! ;)

I go through phases with Seger. There are times I just don't want to hear his stuff at all, and then there are times where I really enjoy his work. As for Kid Rock, he has maybe two songs I like, not that I know much of his catalog.

Few 7+ minute epics are better than this one

BAKESALE! one of my favorite 90's albums. great hooks along with some punk-y moments...never got to see Sebadoh live unfortunately

Seger is like comfort food for me. I can always listen to his greatest hits. And KR is decent to listen to.

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

More recent Kid Rock is tolerable. Bob Seger is great at what he does, just not that into what he does. His hits are more tolerable than KR.

As far as what I have been listening to a lot lately, Beach House, Metric, The xx, Family of the Year, Beck, and Of Monsters and Men.

Big mistake: 1a - Pink Floyd - "Comfortably Numb" + "Another Brick In The Wall" + most all of "Delicate Sounds of Thunder" album.

Anyone here seen Brit Floyd? I have seen Aussie Floyd a few times, but am seeing The split from Aussie, Brit for the first time later this month.

Today's disc was Elton John with John Lennon in NYC.

So... on the way to school my younger son wanted to hear the Muppets.

I have the first three Muppet Cast albums which are essentially soundtracks from the first three seasons - 1978-80.

These were transferred from vinyl by someone and shared a few years back. What a great score/find.

I actually listened to them on shuffle for the remainder of my 20 minute drive up to work and was at times singing along, at times laughing and at times grinning ear to ear.

The Muppets were/are the best. :)

right on Gurt! I have the LP from the first movie and it's great!

I always imagined Dave Pirner from Soul Asylum could do a great cover of the Gonzo tune "I'm going to go back there someday"

Love that She Wants Revenge album. I like it better than their debut.

As for what I'm listening to...

"The Struggle"- Tenth Avenue North
"OK Computer"- Radiohead
"The Story of Your Life"- Matthew West
"Music for People"- VAST
"April"- VAST
Spiderman 2 soundtrack

Recently played all 3 House Of Pain cds. Definitely can tell Everlast was changing direction in style and such, before he went solo.

That may be the 3rd or 4th best song on that cd, not taking into account how much it's overplayed. :p
