The perils of local news sites. They don't dateline the state in their stories.

"That’s what caused police in the small Illinois town of Roselle to pull over and subsequently arrest a driver on January 23."

There was this part of it though. :p

Move it on over, rock it on over.

We've finally spawned a social movement I think is stupid. This is a good sign. Protest is like music -- if your parents don't hate it you're not doing it right.

That movement's a joke, right? They covered this very subject on an episode of The West Wing shortly before the end of its final season partially as a joke and also as a point to be mindful of how our actions impact the youth once they're adults.

It appears to be a real thing. I ran into a reference to it from a 16-year old who was leaving the Democratic party because of "adult privilege." Apparently the Greens don't have that. She was in deadly earnest and I LOLed, which kinda proves her point, and now I'm LOLing again thinking about it. Oh, Princess. Too much, too soon.

Ahma gonna enjoy my prejudice on this one, hence the George Thorogood quote. Homophobes feel that way now. Racists felt that way a generation ago. Anti-Semites felt that way before then. There is a point at which one must acknowledge the world has passed you by, glory in your bigotries, and wait blissfully to be erased by the cultural etch-a-sketch, and evidently that point is about 53. I will live and die embracing my adult privilege. Here I stand, I can do no other. :)
