Tea Party darling Sharon Angle is yet another gift that keeps giving. She has already achieved Dr. Frankenstein status by bringing nearly moribund Harry Reid back to life in the Nevada Senate Race.

Now she's one-upped her her dash away from the media at her own press event.

The Tea Party favorite made another peculiar remark during an interview with Fox News on Monday evening, explaining that she wanted "to have the press be our friend," and "ask the questions we want to answer so that they report the news the way we want it to be reported."

I suppose if you only watch the so-called news anchors at FNC lob softballs to Soundbyte Sara, Bachman, Newt, and Rove--or pose such questions as "Many Americans disapprove of Obama's Afghan policiy (or economic policy or immigration policy or energy policy), what do you think?--then you think that's how free and independent media is supposed to work.

Proof she's not ready for prime time. She should have just followed the Bush method of planting friendly reporters in the press pool, and then only calling on them during conferences while the rest of the media willingly goes along with the charade and raises their hand and voices to make it look like she's really taking random questions. (whenever somebody tells me the MSM is in bed with the Dems, I always rebut that with this fact during the Bush White House years, the most pathetic era for journalism in US history).

There plenty of "news anchors" on both sides that don't ask tough questions. The fact that Angle said this publicly is obviously stupid but its the way things have been done on both sides for what seems like over a decade now. You shouldn't be surprised.
