Wisconsin should win this game but there are a couple of psychological reasons that may help Vermont.

Vermont does have the experience of going to the Frozen Four last year. Some key members are gone from that team but the goaltender and coaching staff are back among others.

They also have the belief that they can play with and defeat teams from the WCHA. They were able to split in Denver and cruised to a 5-2 (lead 5-0) victory over UMD.

The Badgers were 3-0 (all at home) against Hockey East schools this season so they have some pyschological edges themselves......

The only OOC common opponent they shared was Yale and Vermont beat them 1-0 while Wisconsin gets credit for a tie in their shootout victory. Edge UVM:D

Cat fans, if buying tickets for the regional, the NMU section is 113 according to the alumni newsletter.

This is SCSU's best chance to make the frozen four, they play tough teams but this is the best team the huskies have had in a long long time, it comes down to goaltending, whether it will be mike lee or dan dunn they keep the score down if they want a chance without garret roe

All indications are pointing to Roe playing, and even with out Roe, we have plenty of people who can score

Maybe they attended one of the games against DU? Or BC? Or Yale? Or UMD?

PS the eyeball test only works if you keep them open and you aren't high on Lowell crack.

Even the biggest crack addict in Lowell can see that Vermont has no business being selected. So tell me what seems to be your dysfunction?

Dissect it any way you want, but any team that finishes in eighth (8th) place in Hockey East with only nine (9) conference wins (second lowest to the lowly PC Friars) and could not muster but one victory against either Merrimack or UMass-Lowell has no business being in the tournament.

As for the Yale victory, anyone who thinks that the ECAC is even close to being on par with Hockey East is delusional. Hockey East teams consistently dope slap ECAC teams so the Yale win is dubious at best.
