My standards are still high when I'm drunk, the problem is that the females get more attractive!

This is kind of classic, I think this line should be in a movie or something somewhere.

Huskies need to take home some points from CC this weekend. Hoping for a couple. Anything more than that, to me, would be great. We can't dig an early hole and come home with zero. If they play like they did against Northern they should be fine this weekend.

I'd be very happy with a split, especially if we're going to be missing Baker. He's a tough loss, and that means some guys are going to have to step up.

Last year in the Springs, they got a good weekend of goaltending from Nolan, but could not put the puck in the net to support him. My gut tells me that we're headed down that road again.

Yup, it'll be just like last season. CC sweeps, Tech scores 1 fluke goal all weekend.

Witt will break his leg at center ice.

I will catch H1N1 at the games and die one month short of my paygrade increase.

Don't even start with games against Mankato and meltdowns/dying. Just sayin'. ;)

I believe Twitch is referring to what happened after one of the Mankato games last year, when he slid down a hill and wrapped his car around a light pole.

I woulda rather dealt with that than the loss I dealt with. Not kidding.

I've probably almost died after a hockey game too. Only it would have been alcohol related. :p

Twitch, you got to tell me this story in detail Friday at the Golden Bee (assuming they let me in).

Easy enough to tell here.

Friday night game against Mankato last season, Tech was in the middle of its crazy losing streak. I'm literally 2 weeks away from graduation and under unimaginable amounts of stress between job hunting in this crap job market, Senior Design, and all the other graduation crap. I am literally living in a motel room that has been converted into an apartment by a local real estate mogul, and I have about $500 to my name. I'm just a LITTLE bit on edge.

Down 2-1, Tech pulls Nolan and ties it 2-2 with 45 seconds left in the 3rd. Game goes to OT. 3 minutes into OT, Mike Van Wagner(?) coughs up a laughably awful turnover at his own blue line, which leaves Jason Wiley able to walk in by his lonesome and win the game. On the way home, I then slide down an icy hill and smash into a light pole, doing an estimated $4K of damage to my car.

I was NOT a happy camper. Carpet F-bombing continued until I made it back to my apartment. I left a venom-filled away message on AIM that had my parents ready to call my pastor. There were other board members IMing me to check and make sure I hadn't jumped.

I'm still paying off the debt from the insurance deductible to my parents. That game cost me $500.

Yes but did you have fun?
I assume the hot dog costume is part of the pay-back deal.

He wears the hot dog hat because he's Twitch. No other reason.:p

We can only hope that he is. I remember a certain tournament in Detroit a couple years ago where we won the first night and then lost when Twitch showed up. :D

I was the good luck that first night against MSU, because it was my 21st birthday. ;) :D

I'd rather have Twitch be our bad luck charm. At least we can forcibly keep him away from the arena. You turning 21 was a once in a lifetime thing. :p

Exactly - I was just sayin'. :)

Though it should be known that I am also capable of triggering the Concession Stand Curse™, if need be. I'm 3-for-3 in the past three seasons.
