the superintendent at my kid's school has an Ed.D. and they call him "Dr" in formal communication from the school. His email signature is "First Middle Last, Ed.D." but the email sender is formatted "Dr. First Middle Last". No one gives a shit, but he's a dude so what do you expect...
To be fair, she *is* married, so she should always just be seen as Mrs. Joe Biden: accessory, appendage, and servant to a man.

Having said that, I had a case where a superintendent had to testify. When asked to state his name for the record, he stated "John Quincy Public, PhD." It took all of my will power to not call him Mr. PhD on cross.
